Enchante is set in a peaceful acre: in a small Hamlet on the edge of the vines. The attractive village of Nueil - Sur - Layon, with local amenities is approx one mile away and provides a pleasant 15  minute walk. This beamed farmhouse accommodation, was originally the Chateau farm. All floors are either stone or terracotta tiles. We can accommodate from 2 to 12 people.

Accommodation comprises: Upstairs, 2 bedrooms both with 2 single beds, a 3rd bedroom with 1 double and a single bed. There is a very large ensuite family room with a double bed and a single bed. (French doors on to a small veranda) All bedrooms look out on to a small Chateau at the rear of the property. The bathroom  upstairs has a corner bath, bidet, WC and Basin. Another double bedroom downstairs makes 5 bedrooms in total.

The 2 large beamed living rooms are comfortably furnished, 1 having  a wood - burner, TV and music centre. There is a large well equipped modern kitchen, comprising gas, electrical hob, electric oven, microwave, and fridge freezer. Iron and ironing board are available. Access to a washing machine is made upon request. One double bedroom and another shower room on the ground floor, (with a shower, toilet and washbasin) make it easier for a couple who cannot use the stairs. Saturday change overs on this property.

       

        

Outside of the property there is an 8x4 metre ( approx') pool open from June. An enclosed gravelled and lawned garden with flowers and vines, leads out further to the spacious main garden, grassed with trees and shrubs along with a pond. Garden furniture is available for those who prefer to lounge, Pagoda, BBQ are provided for your use and we have a number of shared bikes for the "would be" cyclists, plus a Table Tennis Table.

Places Of Interest

Saumur with its picturesque Chateau on the Loire is a gem! A place for enthusiasts ! Explore it on foot, in a horse drawn carriage, by the 'petite' tourist train or in a flat - bottomed boat. Here the famous 'Cadre Noir' Calvary school stages galas and displays, and you can take in the numerous caves of Saumur's wine makers or visit the Musee De Champignon.

Puy Du Fou' the medieval a historical theme park and cinema can be found just outside of Cholet.

Angers, ancient capital of Anjou, offers another Chateau and the famous 'Tapestry Apocalypse'. On the edge of the town is the Cointreau museum. You may get a sample.

Slightly further away Le Mans has much more to offer than the 24 hour race circuit. As does Nantes capital of Western Loire, birth place of Jules Verne. Highlights of the Western Loire are many and varied, something for everyone's taste and pocket.

The Zoo at Doue La Fontaine, our nearest market town, is a delight with its jungle atmosphere and famous for its endangered species conservation plan.

Travel onto Troglodytique caves situated at the Rochemenier, the famous dwellings cut into the rock.

One hours drive to Poitiers reveals the most unique park of moving images 'Futuroscope' Click on Futuroscope to visit the site. It's worth a visit.

Further still on the coast the sea rubs shoulders with St Nazaire, where you have in the region of 20 beaches to choose from, along the coastal road. The city itself boasts of brand new attraction, 'Escal Altantique' where you can experience life on a posh ocean liner set in the 1930's.
