"how many special people change
how many lives you live is strange
where were you while we were getting high?"
This is dedicated to the one and only Oasis cause they are, no doubt... the best band to have ever graced this planet. Im thinking some people will disagree with that, but, umm...i dont care.
Oasis have been around and kicking since about 1994, they had some action before this but their first studio album "Definatley Maybe" was released in the UK on the 30th August 1994. Still going strong 7 years later, they put on their 4th studio album, "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" in February 2000. Many have said that this latest realease is not nearly as good as their old music and that they have "lost it," but i strongly have to disagree. Although i also personally prefer their older music, i do feel Oasis still "have it" and are simply trying new things. The new album is different to their previous albums, but still just as good.
The band (after a couple of changes) now consists off:
Liam Gallagher: Vocals
Noel Gallagher: Guitar, Songwriter
Andy Bell: Bass
Gem Archer: Guitar
Alan White: Percussion
This has been the lineup for not all that long, "Guigsy" and "Bonehead" have left, and Oasis's upcomming 5th stduio album (due out in 2002) will be their first studio album with this group of guys since the other two left. Andy Bell and Gem Archer have written a little for the upcomming album.
