| This was my first hike in the US. Since I was done with my coursework and started writing my thesis, I had more free time to finally observe the nature and landscape of New England. Unfortunately, I have only recently come out with the idea to write down my impressions. So many of them are already gone. I will however try to remember them with the help of my friends, who participated in the hikes. The hike to a Vermont mountain was organized by Dartmouth Outing Club and Cabin&Trail, the hiking club of Dartmouth. In the hike participated the members of Cabin&Trail and four Russian graduate students--Oksana Frolova, Elena Odinokaya, Dmitrii "Dimi" Pokhotelov, and, of course, I (otherwise, how would you read it now?).
