Mt. Talamitam is one of the mountain in Batangas. It lies between the vast Mountain of Batulao and Pico de Loro but divided by immeasurable flatlands like farmlands, rice fields, and scraping fields.
Mt. Talamitam can be scaled any time of the year. But since there are very few trees, especially close to the summit, it gets truly hot all throughout summer, although winds sometimes make the hike easy. At nighttime, the temperature has been to drop thoroughly.
It's a quite easy trail but the final assault can be difficult for the novice. First step of the trek passes all the way through a barangay road downhill to the Talamitam, Kaybanban footbridge, crossing a waterway. After that, a long climb through unclear greenery, then a relatively flat farming land and a pasture.
The summit commands a clear 360-degree vista of the Batangas region, including Taal Volcano and Tagaytay City, portions of Cavite, and the South China Sea. This is one mountain where you consider that you are absolutely on top of the world.
