12/2/05 Just a quick update, we now have a profile on MySpace, so if you have it, go add us as a friend and tell your other friends to too. www.myspace.com/emptyrunners Secondly, be expecting a kick ass concert at some point in early January with a little new material. That's all for now. Peace out, tmart 10/14/05 Tmart here. We may not be playing shows right now, but we aren't completely dead right now. I've spent a considerably large amount of time over the past week or so to bring you this update. First and foremost, we are now on PureVolume where you can listen to and download our music for free. We are allowed three songs at a time, so I will periodically rotate them, so that those of you that didn't get a cd will be able to download all the songs from it. The address is: www.purevolume.com/runningonempytx Also, I finally got pictures up from the concert at the cafeteria. And ALOT at that. Go check out all five pages of that stuff. Thanks to Morgan who took all those amazing pictures for us. I have also done alot of small random updating around the site, so check it all out. 9/28/05 Greetings from San Antonio! I know the whole crew is busy doig their own thing. I myself have some new stuff and I know that the other guys have been all creative like and what not. Be sure to check out Charles and Jonathan in their new band Enjoi. From what I hear they rocked G-ville highschool so be expecting some sounds from them. Peace and stay tuned for a new and better acoustic demo cd from me.-Daniel 9/17/05 Due to some certain factors, like college, the band is on an indefinite break. We still have free cds, so let us know if you want one, or burn it from a friend or whatever. There's a possibility of a concert or more recording over Christmas break, but nothing's for sure, so don't hold your breath. And maybe we'll get some more pics up from the last concert. tmart out. 8/8/05 BREAKING NEWS, HOT OFF THE PRESSES! I just got off the phone with Smitty (our principle) and we've been ok'ed to play at the Lindsay cafeteria Saturday night, the 13th. This is going to be a huge concert kiddos, if you go to one concert for the rest of your life, go to this one. Why, you ask. Easy. 1. It will be our last concert before the band leaves for college. 2. You will get our brand spanking new cd for free! 3. The Mall and Mourning Furry will probly be playing too. 4. Theres a distinc possibility this will be the greatest concert of all time. Do you want to miss out on the greatest concert of all time?, i think not. So tell all your friends and dont miss it! 7/19/05 Well, we are finally back after a long break. We are in the process of recording a few of our songs, so that we can get you guys a cd before school starts up again. It is a very slow and tedious process, so if things go smoothly, we hope to get five or six songs on the cd. Recording is taking the majority of our time right now, but we plan on doing a very large concert as soon as we get finished with this. If you have ideas or suggestions for the big concert, please go to the message board, and post under 'The Next Concert'. If you give us a brilliant idea, and we use it, you will get something. Something special... and super cool. Anyway, check out the many updates, and check back, as I will be updating more over the next few days. Peace. -tmart 6/14/05 Im sure by now you've all heard that the hangout closed...so if anybody has any suggestions as to any places around Gainesville, Lindsay, or Muenster let us know. I'll start a forum for it so feel free to post away. Im hoping that this short haitus would have built up enough anticipation for a comeback concert in July...because that will probably happen, the concert that is, not the anticipation. Well Im hoping the anticipation but I cant speak for you...yet...Im workng on a design much similiar to Planktons brain washing bucket device. It will force you to love us and love all of the new stuff that has been maturing over this month. I'd like to get get some of that stuff out there like maybe in an acoustic set so you guys would be more familiar with it for when it all comes down together. FYI Chiggers SUCK! Stay out of the diches in the wee way. They may look safe and fun but so did Gili and we all know how that turned out. Gobble Gobble-D.A. 6/8/05 Here's the deal. Chach is a camp leader at Boy Scout summer camp, so he's only in town on saturday nights all through June. So, we will be on a little break during this time. We will try to keep stuff fresh here on the webpage and message board in the meantime. Check out the picture section, as we finally have a few updates there. Until our return concert in July, this is tmart out. 5/24/05 'Aight. Thursday we will be playing at the state theater at about 6 or so before the Lindsay State-winning One Act Play performance of Nicholas Nickleby. It will cost $10 for adults and $6 for students, but that includes finger food before the show, our entertainment before hand, the actual show, and the parody afterward. Also, the message board is quite active now, and in order to get a cd from the hangout concert, you have to be a 'super cool member', which is attained by becoming a member and getting 15 posts on the board. So become a member and get started. 5/19/05 This Sunday night at 7:30 we will be performing right before the One Act Play perfomance at the brand spankin new perfoming arts center at NCTC. We will also be playing before the One Act Play perfomance at the super cool State Theatre Thursday, May 26th at 6. Tickets for both events are $6 for students and $10 for all you old people out there. FYI, STAR WARS Revenge of the Sith is absolutley awesome, go see it ASAP! 5/15/05 Well kids, as those of you that were there very well know, saturday was a hit. Apparently the whole rock concert thing went over well, as everyone seemed to have had a blast. We added two songs that everyone seemed to absolutely love, also. Charles for his birthday got some recording equipment, and using it along with some expensive ass mics from Mr. Wendyl Black from the Woolf Den, we were able to record the show. So, you can look forward to free cds of the concert. Anyway, it looks like our next performance will be as an opening for the OAP performance wherever and whenever that may be. So we look forward to seeing you there. Until then, this is tmart signing out. 5/9/05 This saturday night at 9 o'clock we will be playing at "The Hangout"! The four dollar cover charge gets you unlimited drinks and games on the arcade games, now thats a flippin sweet deal. So come a little early and play some Packman or Area 51 before the show starts! P.S. Chachi hates capitalism, dont think for a second the cover charge was the band's idea. 5/4/05 Aight, check it out. The guestbook was evolving into a message board of sorts, so I decided that we need a real message board. So, go there and become a member NOW. Come on, I'm not studying for a college test, just to get this up and running, so make it good. http://emptyrunners.proboards21.com zip it up, and zip it out, tmart 5/1/05 So this one time(last Friday) we played at the Woolf Den and it was GREAT. We played from like 9 to 10 something, which is a step up from our 30 minute gig 6 weeks ago. The acoustic set we played for the dinner crowd was well recieved and we thank everybody for coming to see us both at 6 and 9. Reminder to any one who took pictures, seeing as how we are occupied during the shows and cant take pictures, we would really appreciate any that you could send us. We could even have a contest fot he coolest picture where the winner gets a prize like, a ride in Travis' car, a date with Charles, or even a thumbs up from Rameez! Today Tronathan and Javis placed an order for the t-shirts so be expecting those suckers in like two weeks. Oh try going to Travis' ex-girlfriends webiste and try to find all the jabs directed not so discretely at the big T-mart himself. -D.A. 4/20/05 Friday the 29th we will be playing a double set at the Woolf Den! The first set will start around 6:00 and will be a little more tame, more for the old people eating there. Around 9 is when the concert set starts. This will be the best of what we have to offer (including 2 new songs) at full volume! Things will definently be rattling off the walls for this one. On another note, we may or may not have shirts made up by that friday if we can get our stuff together. Cost should be around 10 bucks, pretty baller huh? 4/17/05 Friday night we played at The Hangout in Muenster and we got a pretty good sized crowd. We played our originals and 4 covers plus one new one that Charles threw at us last minute. We were asked to play at least once a month or something like that and I think that we are pretty excited about that. Apparantly we were so loud that the vibrations we made caused the shelves of the restaurant next door to discard their many jars of whatever. We felt bad about it but the owners weren't too terribly upset. As of now I dont know when the next show will be. I am 70% sure that it will be at The Woolf Den though. We might take a small break to add some new stuff, I have two new ones that I want to to add, and I'm pretty sure that Charles and Travis have some junk in the trunk as well. In other news we are planning on making shirts, so an estimated number of how many people want one would be much appreciated. Just send and email to emptyrunners@yahoo.com with your name and shirt size. We'll try to have the decal that we are planning to use up on the site so you can see. -D.A. 4/6/05 Alright so after a short short break we are back on track. The next show is going to be at The Hangout in Muenster on the 15th of this month at 9:30. For those of you that dont know thats the same building as the pizzeria. We are pretty stoked and getting some "hip" new covers to throw your way. Also, we might have some new material out and ready for the show...maybe. Check the pics page. Travis made it all pretty like and threw in some picture while he was at it. And if by chance you didnt notice we changed the page a little so let us know what you think. We hope to see at the hangout.-D.A. 3/29/05 Man o man the Woolf Den was off the chizzain. Word on the street is they really want us to play again ASAP, so we're looking at playing there the friday after next but no details are final. Another word on the street is the "Hangout" in Muenster is looking for bands like us to play there. So as soon as we get our poo together we will contact them about playing there. Also, look for a Sum 41 cover in the near future. Not going to give away the title, but if you get clocked in the mouth you get one of these. This is Chachi signing out, keep it real kiddies. 3/23/05 Well, three days 'till the concert and stuff is starting to come together. It's saturday the 26th at The Woolf Den at 8 o'clock. People are welcome before then to come chill or whatever. We will be the only ones performing, and we will have a five song set. 3/19/05 Right so, apperantly city hall is closed on Fridays. Who knew? I sure as hell didnt. Anywho the concert is still on te 26th and Im going out on a limb here and am going to make an ass out of you and me and say that it will be at the park. We tried doing a small pre-show at the IHOR (International House of Ryan) but since it was after 10 when we started we got shut out after 1 and 1/2 songs. Yeah I dont think Ryan's mom was too happy to see that we had moved the pool table and everything else to make room for us. So we spent most of the night hanging out and eating cookies while watching cartoons until 1 a.m. You dont know party until you know us. So with only a week to go we will try to do some type of advertisment by polluting the streams and rivers with flyers. This usually gets the word around. We hope to see you there. 3/16/2005 It occurs to the genious that chachi is, that the park is currently under construction. See, so there is a reason Dano should'nt announce concert dates before looking into it. So kiddies, stay posted as chachi once again saves the day, and by day I mean concert. 3/10/2005 Finally after so many undecisive moments we finally have it together. The Show will be on the 26th at Lindsay Park. Yes, we are for sure that this is the location. So today Travis, Rameez and I sat down and worked on Rameez's piano masterpiece. I say masterpiece because my piano playlist consists of chopsticks and Linkin Park's In the End. Anywho, so thats another song that we will be doing. Once we get more shit together we will try to do an acoustic set at someone's house to try to introduce the material. 3/6/05 Ok, after a case of grape soda and a batch of sopapia cheesecake we finally have it together for the upcoming show...sorta. We moved the date to the 26th of this month and we decided that it should be a benificiary concert where all the proceeds would go to the tsunami relief fund. As far as a venue goes...we are looking into it...yeah. Running Joe will be joining us again for. Some of the covers include Blink 182, Green Day, Eve 6, and Sister hazel. Moreover we are going to be concentrating on our original stuff including songs like, The Memory Wall, Under the Mash Light, My Reflections, and this one that Cahrles has that Im not sure what he is calling. 2/12/05 Today was a good day for us. In fact this weekend has been good. We are in the process of concentrating more on original material and we've managed to make a lot of progress on 2, Under the Mash Light and The Memory Wall. I think if we do like 3 or 4 more originals that and some covers we'll be good to do more shows. So far we are planning on doing a spring break show. When?,I dont know... We mainly practice at Chach's house since we are lazy and dont want to haul the drum set around, so if your in the neighborhood and you hear us...go away. Naw, give us a call, we love to play for people, considering we are working on our fan base since it consists of biased loved ones.
