Once the psychoanalytically oriented student of personality finishes his description of
the elephant, the second personality student walks around the elephant deliberately to
study the low-hung belly and the thick legs.
"No," he says to the psychoanalyst. "Youre digging too deep. Everything we need to
know about our elephant is right here, right here in this massive belly. Our fat friend"-
the elephant snorts- "is basically relaxed and jolly. She simply loves to eat-"
"Deep," interrupts the psychoanalyst. "Deep."
"-she loves to eat and she gets along with everybody. Shes not athletic or courageous,
shes not scholarly or artistic. We know all this from these rolls of flab. She loves
everyone."
"You, I dont like at all," notes the elephant.
