| Rei lives at the Cherry Shrine Temple with her grandfather. Serena and Molly passed by the Temple a couple of times a week on their daily walk home from school, and they had decided to make a trip to Rei's shrine to have their fortunes told. Well, they get there, and they are greeted by Rei's funky grandpa, whose waving a stick around to "ward off evil demons" from the two schoolgirls. Grandpa whaps Serena in the nose, which Rei almost dies of embarrassment, and apologizes for her grandpa's actions. Luna, of course, mentions to Serena that she feels strange vibes from Rei, and that she needed to investigate the temple further. One evening, Rei was consulting the fire for soul-cleansing and warding off evil spirits, but something had happened to Grandpa. This was the period Nephlyte was gathering the Power Crystals from people's souls, and tried to use them in his evil plot to destroy Sailor Moon. Grandpa was one of the Rainbow Crystal Carriers. Nephlyte took the Power Crystal from Grandpa, and that turned him into a demon-monster. Sailor Moon appeared, and at this point, Rei is being chased by Grandpa. The symbol of Mars appears upon Rei's forehead. Of course, Luna's vibes were wrong about Rei being from the Negaverse, and tosses her the Mars Pen, and yells at her to say "Mars Power!". Of course, Rei's freaking out at the talking cat, but she does as Luna told her, and she transforms into Sailor Mars. Sailor Mars is most deadly with her "Mars Fire Ignite", "Mars FIre Phoenix", and "Mars Fire Sniper" attacks. Needless to say, Mars is the God of War according to the ancient mythologies. Rei/Sailor Mars definately has that red-hot temper to match her Mars Planet Power! ^_^ |
