Disclaimer: This site is run by two young folks from Antioch, California. So yeah, we're not experts on anything that goes on Antioch's most infamous road. MOST OF THE INFORMATION DISCUSSED ON THIS WEBSITE IS JUST HEARSAY. We have always been curious about EMR, and our curiosity brought frustration: all the EMR websites online were uncreatively designed and lacked the information we were looking for. We knew that we could make a website that was much bigger, better, more accurate, and more involved. And so we did. We simply created this website in February of 2005 out of pure boredom and didn't think much of it. Also, keep in mind that we don't mean to piss anyone off or get you all worked up, instead it's quite the contrary... If you're reading this, you probably already live near Antioch so its no big deal, but you may possibly not realzie how many people have never been to Empire Mine Road or have even heard of it. If you've never been to Empire Mine, please take extreme caution. It's the most fun and thrilling and will scare the sh!t out of you the most if you go on Empire Mine Road at night. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, it is a myth that cults including the KKK, Satanic Cults, gangs, etc. do meet on the road regularly. For that, EMR can be dangerous and we advise that you never, ever go alone, never go alone at night, always take a cellphone (although reception is often lost on both EMR and in Black Diamond Mines; and guess what people - there are no pay phones or street lights). Also: take at least one car that runs well or you're basically screwed. Oh yeah, if you're feeling like a hotshot and think you wanna go exploring, bring a flashlight, too! For some strange reason, there are people that actually live on Empire Mine Road. Sounds crazy (no offense to the people there), but yup - its their right to live there. That's why we ask that you leave those people alone: don't go to their doors, don't question them, and don't trespass onto their property.
