remote controle airplanes
My
hobby is flying remote control airplanes I have 2 kinds of aircraft’s and I
love this hobby. Radio
controlled (R/C) airplanes come in many different shapes and sizes. They may
weigh less than half a kilo and have wingspans barely over 25 cm’. On the
other side there are powered monsters with wingspans that can be over 4 meters
and may weigh 20 kilos or more. There are even model jets with real turbine
engines in them. The cost of these models (with engine and radio) can range
anywhere from just under 1500 shekels to several thousand. Some are built with
woods such as balsa and others with fiberglass.
A slow model may only go 45 km/h but some of the jets can go over 450
km/h. Radio
Controlled models are controlled by radio signals. The pilot holds the
Transmitter which is used to send signals to the Receiver. The receiver is in
the aircraft and controls the Servos. The servos are also in the aircraft and
are used to move the controls such as rudder, throttle, aileron, and elevator.
All of these are powered by batteries.
