The Lina and Zelgadis Couple Shrine
As you may or may not have known the Slayers and Sailor Moon are my 2 top fav animes. I have over a bazillion fav's but these two are on the top. Anyhoo on to Slayers, my primary favortie couple.
Reasons why these two darlings should be a couple:
A} They compliment each other well in battle. That one is obvious. Zel's superior strength, speed, stamina, and sword-skills + Lina's sorcery, choatic temperment, and knowlege of deamon lore, make for one kick-ass awsome team!
B} Zel can tease and critisize Lina and not get hurt. Sure she has smacked him around occasionally, but he's never tasted dirt like the others. In those instances his rock hard body has come in handy.
C} Sometimes they know what the other is thinking. I've seen it, you've seen it. Face it there are times when all they do is look at each other and they just KNOW.
D} Lina doesn't care about Zel's "curse". This part has been obvious from the begining. Lina gives a rats ass as about the chimra curse. She's even bugged Zel about wearing that damn mask all the time. There have even been instances where she stood up for him. Like when Amelia comented on his looking evil, Lina spazed and told her not to judge by appearences. She's protecing him, cuz she cares.
E} Lina is the only one who can make Zel laugh or smile. Since the begining, Lina has been able to make that rock hard hunny smile and even laugh out loud. As long as we've known him he hardly ever did that, until he met Lina. She's good for him. ^_^
F} The are both highly intelegent and powerful. Given. Lina did figure out a number of things, she is a sorcery genius by the way. Like Rezo's plot to name one. She's also the gal who fills us all in when we're getting clueless. Zel is the stratigist. He calmly thinks things through and Lina relies on his oppinion alot, except in some cases concerning Xellos.
G} They both enjoy a challenge. Hmm let's see. Defeating Shabby, the other dark lords, and searching for the ol' bible. Yeah, i'd say those were challeging.
H} They compensate for the other's flaws. Lina gets Zel to lighten up, while zel get Lina to take things more seriously. 'Nough Said.
I} Cliches are BORING! It's SOOOO TRUE!!! Come on how many times can the brillient sorceress and the dumb swordsmen get together? It's annoying. Is that the ONLY pairing people can think up?? COME ON! Lina and Gourry is too cliche. All the time thay are together it reminds me of.. well.. me and my bro. Sure the Emperor has got something for brains, and is bigger than me, he is my older bro, but ITS WRONG!!! I also heard rumors that Zel and Amelia were related. Now its bad enough that Rezo went and screwed up Zel's bloodline. We don't need any more. And thinking about Lina and Gourry...*ugg* i think i'm going to be ill.
