Part 82- Percent Cut

Before I went to work that afternoon, I lounged around my apartment listening to my music as I ate. I was sucking on my fingers when the doorbell rang so I turned down my stereo slightly and checked who it was only to see Miya. I was surprised so I opened the door quickly as I said,

"Miya..."

"Hey Jo. You busy?"

"No, come in."

He came, pausing to kneel down and unzip the zipper on the side of his boot as he took them off. He stepped to his normal stature as I closed the door behind him. I then went to the kitchen to drop off the plate that was now empty as I then said,

"What brings you by?"

"I just wanted to see how you were. And what you been up. Plus, I don't have work for another hour so..."

"Oh, just killing time." I said as I went back over to him.

He shook his head as he said,

"No, I really did want to see how you were."

He smiled as I hugged him and he hugged me in return. He then said,

"What are you listening to?"

"Say Anything."

Miya looked up at me, his eyes shining for a moment as I said the name of a X-Japan song that expressed my longing for him. He sighed as he hugged me close and said,

"Your hair is getting long."

His fingers twirled the end that had fallen over my shoulder as I said,

"I know. It's getting there."

"I think it's already there Jo."

I smiled as the words of the song echoed behind us. I smoothed back his hair away from his pretty face as I smiled, seeing both his eyes as I said,

"I love you."

"I love you too."

I never felt so happy then when Miya said those words to me. He smiled as he said,

"What are you thinking about? You suddenly looks so happy."

"I'm thinking about you."

He smiled softly reaching up to kiss me. I met him half way, holding him close as I held him close, feeling as if he was mine, just mine all over again. When we broke apart slightly I was about to say something when my phone rang. I sighed as he frowned slightly. I said,

"Sorry.."

"It's okay."

I let go of him as I went into my pocket, taking out my cell phone as I answered.

"Hai?"

"What time you showing up at Jia's building Baby-chu?"

"Oh...what time is the meeting?"

"In like twenty minutes."

"Shit! Why so early!?"

"Daisuke and Toshimasa said they would show up. And they did. But Jia said to hold for a while until he gets his heads organized."

"Shit...okay. I'll be there soon."

I hung up as I said,

"I'm sorry..."

"It's okay. I know. Work is work. What can you do?"

He smiled slightly as I went to the living room, shutting off my stereo as I went to my room and got dressed quickly. I threw my tie around my neck as I pulled it straight in front of me. I was in the process of tying the noose when Miya peeked in and said,

"Need help?"

"Oh, no. I'm just getting dressed."

He came in and gently took the tie from my hands as he started to finish it up. He sighed as he said,

"You never could get this straight."

"I do too. Sometimes....if I'm not rushing."

He gave me this look that basically told me I always rushed, hence never got it right. I sighed as he finished up and then laid the tie down smooth on me as he said,

"Okay. All done. What time are going home?"

"I'm not sure yet."

"If you get back late, I'll see tomorrow."

"What time you working till tomorrow?"

"Six to ten."

"I'll try to see you soon."

He nodded as I then picked up my coat and we both went to get our shoes on. I picked up my helmet, thinking a cab or anything else would take way too long and not good when I was in a rush. I tied my hair back, pulling on my gloves as I closed the door behind Miya. I checked my pockets for my keys, wallet, phone, my gun and then I let Miya take the elevator as I kissed him quickly and took the stairwell. I put my MP3 player on as I stuck the earphones in my ears. I got to the garage, blasting Child Prey in my ear as I got my helmet on and got on my bike. I started it up, kicked the stand up and drove off. I pushed my new lover to it's limits, passing lights before they turned red as I made sharp turns, my knees barely keeping off the gravel as I finally raced towards Jia's building. I parked just as quickly as I drove and then took off my helmet as I ran inside. I checked my watch, wondering how long it actually did take me. I saw Akio in the lobby as I raced inside and said,

"Did we start?"

"Not yet. You got here in fifteen minutes. How'd you do that?"

"I sped."

Akio laughed as I pulled off my gloves and threw them inside my helmet then set it down on the lobby couch as I then followed Akio up to Jia's office. Besides Toki, the business heads were sitting in office. Pretty Aya with his smooth caramel hair tucked back behind his ears, a pen in his hands as he sat on the small couch against the wall near Jia's desk. He was writing something down in a folder, Gabriel standing by Jia's desk as Tai went over something with Jia. Daisuke and Toshimasa sat in the chairs in front of Jia's desk as I went around and stood by Jia, Toki on the other side. I looked over at Toshimasa, his light brown hair falling over the sides of his right eye as his full lips stayed still, a soft pink coloring to them as he wore a different black suit this time, white pinstripes marking it, a black silk button down, his collarbones clearly visible while a small silver necklace held a square pendant that fell to his collarbones. A red rose was still pinned to his lapel. He had his legs crossed, his slender pale hands resting on top of his thighs as he sat up straight. Daisuke sat beside him, slouching back in a dark gray suit, a black shirt underneath. His arm was up, resting on the arm rest as he held a cigarette in his hand. His red, semi spiked hair was still done, his eyes fierce and strong staring ahead at Jia waiting to start as his finely done eyebrows, which always made him seem like he was angry were relaxed. He licked his pale lips as Jia then said,

"Sorry, I had to get organized."

"it's understandable. We never did let you know what time we were arriving." Said Toshimasa.

Daisuke looked off to the side as if annoyed as he then took a drag from his cigarette. He then sat up slightly as he said,

"You're getting twenty percent of our profits. How you want it?"

"Cash will suffice." Said Aya.

Tai nodded as he said,

"It's cleaner, easier not as hard to loose."

Toshimasa nodded as he said,

"Agreeable. But how would it be transported?"

Jia thought for a minute as he said,

"I trust one of these. Take your pick."

Daisuke looked around at each of us as he then looked at me. I met his fierce eyes head on as he said,

"How about the kid?"

Jia looked up at me and I broke my gaze from Daisuke to Jia as we looked at each other. Jia then smiled slightly and said,

"What about him?"

"You trust him?"

"Of course. I wouldn't put my life in his hands if I didn't."

Daisuke then said,

"Send him then."

"I agree. Young ones don't attract as much attention." Said Toshimasa.

I sighed almost sticking out my tongue as Jia said,

"Fine. Twice a week I will send him, Akui, to you."

"Akui? Such a fine name for young poison." Said Toshimasa.

I looked at him, kind of surprised as Jia said,

"Akui will go to you, collect the twenty percent cut. He will be armed. You try to fuck me over and he'll kill you. Think he won't because he's young? Try him. The money will be counted, aloud to total what is mine. Then, he'll leave. He's got orders to shoot if anything is suspicious. Don't think he won't."

Daisuke looked at me as if unimpressed with what Jia just said. Toshimasa then said,

"Very well Jia. We will comply to these terms. Nothing should go wrong."

"I hope not." Said Jia.

He stood up as did Daisuke and Toshimasa and Jia shook both their hands. They then turned and left as I looked at Jia and said,

"When will I go make the first drop?"

"Every Sunday when they total everything up. They'll have the amount then."

I nodded as I said,

"Okay. That's fine."

"Your new assignment Aka-chan. Learn it."

I nodded as Jia then sat back down, sighing softly as he went into his pocket and retrieved his cigarette case. He took a single cigarette out as he put it in his mouth and Toki lit it.

I wasn't sure if I would like doing this and I was a little nervous. But I knew I had to. When the first two weeks were up, that Sunday I went back to the make shift casino. I was allowed in as I went towards the back where I saw Toshimasa by himself. I immediately got nervous, mentally placing my hand on my gun, glad I had check the clip before I went inside. Toshimasa saw me as he motioned me over as I walked over. I held my helmet in my hands as I bowed my head slightly as I said,

"Kon ba wa."

Toshimasa nodded, his hair falling over his eye slightly as he adjusted his dark gray suit, a black silk shirt underneath, a dark gray tie resting on his chest. A red rose still clung to his lapel. I then said,

"Where's your partner?"

"Getting the money ready for your employer."

I nodded and began to follow Toshimasa as he walked to a back room. He opened the door as I went inside after him and saw Daisuke at the head of a table, money stacked around him as a few other guys were there, counting and separating smaller stacks. I went in as Daisuke reached up to his mouth and inhaled his cigarette. He then said,

"Perfect. We can start now."

Little by little the amount started totaling up. I had about three cigarettes in the process, growing bored already. Once it was done, the money was snapped into a briefcase and then locked and handed to me. Toshimasa, who was standing by Daisuke the whole time said,

"It's all there."

"I heard."

I stood up from the chair I had been sitting in as I rubbed out my cigarette in the ashtray next to the other cigarettes I had as I then took the briefcase and then left. I went outside, setting the case on my bike and got my helmet on as I then tried to figure a way out to carry the case and ride my bike. I shrugged, figuring I could do both as long as I don't speed. I got on my bike, holding the handle with one hand, the briefcase in the other as I kicked up the stand and then started the bike up. I rode off as I drove back to Jia's building.

When I got back, Akio and Toki were in the garage having a cigarette. I pulled up as I kicked the stand down as Toki and Akio stood up from the small step leading inside the building as Toki said,

"Whoa...when did you get this?"

Akio took the case from me as I said,

"A while ago. Pay attention."

Akio laughed as he said,

"It's his new lover."

"Figures he'd get something that big to vibrate under him."

Akio laughed as I nudged Toki as I took off my helmet. Toki then flicked away his cigarette as he said,

"It's nice though. Seriously. What kind is it?"

"A Ducati Monster."

Toki nodded as he said,

"Wipe out yet?"

"Once but it wasn't serious."

He laughed as he said,

"Figures. Don't you need a license for that?"

"Hai and I already told him about that shit." Said Akio.

I waved him off as I said,

"Being caught is not an option."

Akio then went inside to drop off the case as Toki checked out my bike a while longer. Afterwards we both went inside as I finally saw someone else. Mikkie was sitting on the couch in the lobby, his hair tied up and he read the paper. I expected Toki to get out of my way so I could go past him and get upstairs, leaving the two alone as always. But instead, Toki kept walking and headed towards the elevator without so much as even a glance at Mikkie. I figured something went wrong already. I didn't say anything and just went upstairs. Jia thanked me and asked me if all was well.

"Any trouble at all?"

"That Daisuke guy has a problem with everything."

"Yeah I sensed that about him too."

Jia opened the case as he then said,

"Everything there?"

"Yeah, all counted."

"Good."

He then shut the case and lifted it up and gave it to Tai who stood beside him. Jia then said,

"You know what to do with that."

"Hai."

Tai then gave me a small looked before he left the room and Jia said,

"So anything else?"

"No, just that."

"Okay. Thank you Aka-chan."

I gave a nod as I then excused myself and left. I went to the elevator as I called it up so I could go home. I checked my watch seeing I had some time to see Miya and I decided to do that. As I waited, I felt someone hug from behind and I gasped in surprise. I turned as I saw Akio.

"Hey Baby-chu."

"Hey Akio. What's up?"

He kissed my cheek as he said,

"Nothing. I'm on my way home. You?"

"Same thing."

"Wanna join me?"

"Oh...I can't. I'm just going home to change."

"Ah, Miya I see."

I nodded. Akio nodded, as if content with that reply and then said,

"Okay then, see you later."

He started to walk away as I said,

"Aren't you gonna take the elevator?"

"Nah, I'm gonna find Toki before he leaves."

"Oh..okay."

I waved to him as the elevator came up. I went inside and pressed the button for the lobby. I was a little surprised at how hot and cold Akio can shift. One minute he was all smiles, hugs and ready to just love me all night, but once I rejected him, he was...well...he was Aoki. Cold and distant. I stopped giving it thought as the elevator took me downstairs and I grabbed my helmet from the lobby couch as it was my habit to leave it there now and got my gloves on as I went to get my bike and leave.
