Part 40- Leaving Again
Ryuhei stuck around a while longer. Jia didn't seem to happy about having him there. Each day he was around he was around Toki. And like I said before, Toki really didn't mind. He loved having Ryuhei pay him attention, to stand beside him like a pretty ornament. He would be whispering something to Ryuhei sometimes and I watched him laugh in this seductive manner, sweet and soft as if trying to play innocent. When he wasn't around, he was usually near by in the city so no matter what, my vision never lingered too far from him. Each day I saw him he was decked out in the similar outfit, the same binding leather pants thought varied in color and cut around the leg, different form fitting shirts, different coats, if he even wore a coat depending on the weather. His hair always formed around the shape of his perfect oval face, his full lips always a soft shade of pink, his eyes seductive and beautiful. I thought of Miya when I saw him, but I didn't think he was more beautiful then my tsuki. Anyway, one afternoon, I was sitting the lobby, my mp3 player blasting in my ear as I chewed on some pocky again. I was reading the paper as Akio sat beside me, looking over my shoulder. He would take my pocky from me every now and then, teasing me as he hid the box or moved it out of my reach or just bit off the end of my stick. I would laugh and tell him to stop teasing me, though he wouldn't and I really didn't want him too. I saw from the corner of my eye as Ryuhei switched his way in, his platforms keeping him off the floor. The pretty boy sauntered over to us as he leaned over the couch and said,
"Hey, am I interrupting?"
I pulled my ear phone out of my ear as I said,
"What?"
"I asked if I was interrupting anything."
Akio looked at him and said,
"No. Toki's not here yet."
"It's the afternoon."
"I know. But he's not here yet. I'm not sure if he'll be here at all."
Ryuhei pouted as he said,
"Aw..really?"
"Yes really."
Ryuhei then stood up as he said,
"I wouldn't know what to do with myself for the rest of the day."
Akio sighed as he said,
"Go do something worth while."
Ryuhei smirked as he said leaned back down and said,
"Like you?"
Akio turned back to him as he stroked Ryuhei's chin, brushing back some of his hair with gentle fingers as he said,
"I don't like used goods."
Ryuhei gave him a glare as he smacked his hand away and said,
"Fuck you."
"You wish."
He turned and started to leave as I laughed slightly, looking at him as he looked back at me, an amused smile on his lips. We heard Jia talking a moment later as we turned and saw him and Tai discussing something. He then said,
"Ryuhei, just the one I wanted to see."
Ryuhei turned back around as he walked over to Jia and said,
"What?"
"Listen, you said your ex got into some trouble with the Yami right?"
"Hai, it's why I left."
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from yakuza?"
"It's not my fault they all chase me Jia."
"Right, you're the victim."
"So what about my ex getting into trouble with the Yami?"
"You didn't say it was over."
"I didn't know I was suppost to. You just asked me what I was doing here, you didn't ask anything about the Yami."
Tai then said,
"Jia if it was something the Yami couldn't handle wouldn't Tsubasa have called you?"
Jia nodded to himself he said,
"He did call, but it was more of a social thing. He made no mention of anything going on there."
"If it had been important he would have called. Or Yuki would have called."
"But the problems are with the Yami, not with Yuki."
Tai sighed as he said,
"Maybe you should ask Yuki."
"I think I will. Ryuhei what's the name of your ex?"
"The one cause the problems right?"
Jia looked at him like he was stupid as he said,
"Yes. Why else would I care about anyone else fucking you?"
"Just making sure. His name is Yuu Kei. I call him Kei. He introduced himself to me as Kei...that could be short for something."
"Probably is."
"What's that got to do with anything?"
"Nothing yet. I'll be back."
He turned and went to the elevator and got in as he went to his office. Tai turned and went somewhere else as Ryuhei put his hand on his slender hip and turned towards us before he rolled his eyes and finally left.
I went back home to Miya that night, seeing my tsuki on the couch, his shorts on again exposing those long legs, a baggy shirt on him as he leaned back and read something that he had placed on his stomach. I closed the door behind me as I said,
"Hey tsuki. What you up to?"
He turned as he said,
"Reading about tattoos."
"Why?"
"Didn't you want me to get one?"
"Yeah but...I didn't think.."
"I have to find out where I should get one. Plus how much it'll be and all that. And what it should be of. So I'm looking through some art pieces..maybe I can get inspired."
I sat beside him, putting my hand on his bare thigh as I said,
"Tsuki...you think of everything way too detailed."
He laughed as he said,
"Did yours hurt?"
"Yeah. A little."
"Just a little?"
"I was sorta drunk."
He kissed my mouth, his full lips warm and soft against mine as he then pulled back and sighed and said,
"What's going on?"
"Nothing. Just got home."
"How was your day?"
"Calm."
He closed the book he was looking through as he set it on the table in front of us and drew his legs up as he leaned forward to kiss me. I then got up and picked him up and carried him to bed. I thought for a reason that he would be taller...I guess because he looks so leggy and his platforms make him seem taller. Anyway I took him to bed where I changed, his hands helping me along the way as he then took off his shirt and we got in bed. In bed with my tsuki...I enjoyed this moment for as long as I could. I had a feeling it wouldn't last very long.
The next morning, Jia let us know that he had talked to Yuki.
"Yuki told me of the small problems in New York. He says the Yami is handling it as best as they can. Tsubasa doesn't think that the problem is big enough for us to come in. I told him I rather be there before it does become a bigger problem."
Tai then looked over at Jia and said,
"So does that mean we're going to New York?"
"Hai. I don't want this problem getting any bigger."
I cursed to myself, knowing I would now have to leave. I couldn't say I didn't want to go like before because now, that tattoo on my wrist obliged me to. I hung my head as I listened to Jia explain when we would leave. As Akio and I took the elevator down to the lobby, he noticed me as he said,
"It'll be for a few days."
"I hate leaving him here."
"You can't take him with you."
"I meant I hate leaving him alone. I'm so worried about him."
"The problem's in New York. Not here. I can't say oh he'll be fine, but you can't worry yourself over him every second either. You'll never get anything done."
"I know."
He put his arm around me as he pulled me close to him, our mouths almost touching as he said,
"Beside you got me Baby-chu. And I'll help you get dressed again."
He kissed me softly against my mouth as he held me close. I tipped my head towards him, deepening the kiss as I felt him smile against my mouth. He said,
"You should really stop me sometimes."
"I can't help it."
"We didn't even leave Tokyo yet."
I nodded as I made some space between us and the elevator came to a soft stop. I had to go home and started getting ready. And now....to break it to Miya.
The minute I told him, his whole expression fell. He was happy a moment ago and now....I sighed as I said,
"It'll be just for a few days."
"I know."
He sat down on the bed, his long legs opening slightly as he rested his hands on his lap and said,
"It seems like everytime we get closer, they tear you apart from me."
"It's work Miya. They don't know how close we actually are."
"You sure?"
"I swear it tsuki."
I leaned down to him and kissed him, feeling his kiss to be more innocent as I then pulled back and he sighed, his hands coming up to my face as he smoothed my hair back and said,
"I'll miss you."
"I'm not leaving until tomorrow."
"I already miss you just thinking about you not being here."
I sighed as his hands clung onto the lapels of my coat. He then sighed, letting go as he got up and started to help me pack.
I had to leave the next morning, my ticket already booked and everyone waiting. Miya and I stood at the front door for a few minutes saying bye to each other, holding each other close as we kissed, savoring each second after the next. When it was over, Miya brushed his fingers over my cheek as he said,
"I love you Jo."
"I love you too."
I then grabbed my suitcase and left. I hated leaving Miya by himself and everytime I would turn and leave, I made it a point not to look back. If I did, I would be tempted to stay longer then I should and that would be bad. I got to the airport a half an hour later. There was some traffic and I didn't have the car so I couldn't tear it up and get there earlier. After getting my luggage checked I saw Akio standing there as he waved me over. I walked over to him as he said,
"Hey Baby-chu."
"Hey."
I saw Ryuhei was standing by Toki's side again, Toki and Jia not speaking to each other...again. Everyone else with their usual partners. I smoothed my hair back from my face, as I said,
"Jia and Toki not talkin?"
"Nope."
"Ah."
Anyway after some time, we boarded the plane and fourteen hours back to New York, I fell asleep on the way. I wasn't as jet lagged as I usually was, though I was a bit tired. I woke up right away however when I saw Tsubasa. The ningyo still draped in black, black dress pants on with a black silk button down, his white blonde hair falling over his shoulders a little longer then the last time I saw him. His eyes still haunting, his skin a milky white, still beautiful and perfect. Jia went up to him and cupped his cheek, as he planted a gentle kiss on the other side of his face. I gave a soft sigh as I saw Ai'iro and Jiki. Ai'iro smiled as he walked over to me, his still black hair, still short bounced around his face as he hugged me. His bright violet eyes shining as he said,
"How you doing Jo? I haven't seen you in forever."
"I know I've been good. You?"
"Same old shit."
He gave a smile as I saw Jiki and waved to him. He gave me a wave back as Ai'iro saw my tattoo. He said,
"You're a top head now huh?"
I nodded as he smiled, nudging me slightly. As we left the airport Jia and Tsubasa spoke, and I walked behind them with Akio. Mikkie was not to far behind me with Jun as everyone else walked in a circle formation. We got outside as I yawned, rubbing my eyes as I said,
"Ai'iro what time is it?"
"Nine at night, Tuesday."
"Tuesday? I went back in time."
Ai'iro laughed as Tsubasa said,
"We can't talk now Jia. You're obviously exhausted and jet lagged."
A pale slender hand smoothed against Jia's face, almost lovingly as he said,
"So we'll speak tomorrow for breakfast yes?"
"Yes."
Tsubasa smiled as he then said,
"So tomorrow then. Be careful."
Jia nodded as he then sent us home. I grabbed my keys out of my pocket as I hailed a cab. Akio getting in behind me as I went to my apartment. I was too exhausted to fool around with Akio though I wanted to. At the same time, I was glad I was too tired. I didn't want to do anything that would get me in trouble later. I got home later and then changed and went to sleep for a while. Tomorrow would be a busy day.
