Part 27- Adding On
I spent the last week with Miya in Tokyo. Miya was not happy when I came home. He knew just by looking at me that I had to leave again. When I walked through the door, he was waiting at the dining room table, playing with some napkins. When he heard me coming in, he stood up and looked me. I didn't have to say anything. I hardly looked at him and he knew. He sat back down as he sighed as he said,
"When are you leaving?"
"Miya..."
"I know you're going to leave Jo. When are you going?"
"In a week."
He said nothing else. I felt bad for leaving him again and we'd been together only a few short months since I got back before. We went to sleep the last night I was to stay in Tokyo before I left for Seoul after he finished his school work. He laid down beside me as he said,
"Jo...what do you do when you work?"
"Drive."
"I'm not stupid. Don't talk to me like I am. If you were driving you would not be going anywhere as often as you are."
"I do more..."
"Like?"
"I don't want to say. It's nothing I'm proud of."
He leaned his head on me as he said,
"You're slipping away."
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know...I'm so scared you'll be like them..."
I said nothing, holding Miya so close to me I could feel his heart beating through the layers of our clothes, through our skin...as if it was my own heart beating as I held him against me. I kissed him softly as I felt his leg open and rest against the side of my hip as I rested my hands on his back, pressing my hands against him as his arm went around me, our kiss deepening in passion as he then pulled back and said,
"Jo...let's make love."
I was caught off guard hearing that. I smoothed his hair back from his pretty face as I said,
"Are you sure?"
He nodded, his full lips pressing against mine as he said,
"I don't see why not. I love you...you love me...we're both adults."
He smiled as he kissed me again.
"Only if you're sure."
I felt him shifting his weight as he slowly got on top of me, straddling me around my waist as he reached down to his shirt, lifting it up over his body and slowly, seductively, brought his arms back down, his dark hair falling back around his face, covering one of his eyes as the shirt fell down his arm, falling to the floor as he nodded and said,
"I'm sure."
I sat up, putting my arms around him, feeling his bare skin against my hands for what felt like the first time. I've touched his skin before, his hands his face, his arms...but never his back, his chest, his stomach...everything smooth, flawless and most of all warm. His body trembled when I kissed him and I felt as embraced and loved as I've ever felt. I sighed when I felt his bare arms around my neck and it suddenly felt so right.
Making love to Miya was indescribable. Though neither one of us had any no experience, it somehow worked well with us. I was in love with him all over again...my Miya, my tsuki now forever mine, body and soul. I woke up the next morning feeling him still. His skin still against mine, his head against my chest as we slept on our sides. I had my arms around him holding him as I sighed to myself. I was happy....and I felt as if the world could come crashing down around me and I wouldn't care. I soon felt him moving, his arm moving slowly as he picked his head up and he kissed my chin, my cheek and didn't stop until he reached my mouth, our lips pressed together as he then pulled back. He smiled at me, making me feel so remorseful for having to leave within a few hours. I stayed with him in bed for the morning until I was called. When my cell phone did ring, I knew it was time for me to go. I got out of bed as I went to shower and then get ready. After my shower, I saw Miya sitting on the bed, his bathrobe on as he watched the door. I got dressed, his slender fingers helping along the way as he did my shirt buttons up and once I tucked it in, he wrapped my tie around my neck, doing the noose. I never did figure out where he learned to tie a noose for a tie, but I was glad he knew. I always felt awkward doing it myself. Anyway, once I was done, I pulled up my coat as Miya fixed my lapels and then buttoned my coat in the front. All that was left to do was get my overcoat and get my shoes and suitcase. The suitcase was already packed, done by Miya's hands last night before we went to bed. I picked up my shoes and suitcase as I walked out of the room to the front door, Miya following me with my overcoat in his hands. At the door as I got my shoes on, Miya helped me put my coat on as he then kissed me good bye. It was a sweet good bye, his lips warm as they've ever been, his tongue moving slowly, savoring my taste as he then moved back, his arms still around me as he said,
"I love you."
"Love you too."
I touched his hair once more, moving it back from his eye that was always hidden as I then said bye to him. I picked up my suitcase as I left.
It was a cold day in Tokyo. The winds were shifting too quickly and I closed my coat once I got outside. After getting to the airport where everyone was waiting for the plane, I had my luggage checked and then sat down beside Akio as he said,
"How you been?"
He didn't look too different his hair had seemed to lighten, probably dyed as I said,
"Pretty good. And your time off?"
He nodded, pleased as he said,
"I could have used more. But what I got was good."
He was chewing on the end of a straw as he said,
"How's Miya?"
"He's good."
I gave a smile, remembering my tsuki in his robe, sitting on the unmade bed, looking bright and beautiful still. Akio nudged me as he smirked. He said nothing but I had a feeling he knew. The plane got there after a few minutes and we all boarded and soon left for Seoul. On the way there I noticed Mikkie looked....different. Like....very different. His hair was twisted up and hidden under a cap that looked much like something Toki would wear. It looked very unprofessional and for some reason he had it on. I don't know why...but he left it on for the plane ride. Toki who was sitting in front of him would talk to him every now and then, gesturing to his hat and Mikkie would say something back and then the conversation would be over. When we got to Seoul less then one hour later, as we all walked out of the terminal and getting our luggage as the sky cabs came to take us to our hotel, I saw Mikkie reach up to take the hat off. Once he did a waterfall of strawberry blonde hair fell down. He had dyed it! I was kinda surprised because Mikkie had always had dark hair. So when this blonde came down I was kinda surprised....but so was everyone else. They all paused to stare for a moment as he reached up and gathered it in his hands, pulling it up into a twist and snapping it back with a hairband. He then saw everyone staring at him as he said,
"What?"
Toki smirked as he held a long lock of the blonde as he twisted it in his finger as he said,
"It's sexy Ghosto."
Mikkie moved his hand away as Jia then cleared his throat and everyone went about getting into the sky cabs as we headed into Seoul.
I wasn't as tired as I thought I would have been since it was early in the morning. Thanks to Tai and Gabriel's digging, we wouldn't have to do much of anything. Jia already knew who was in charge of Seoul for now being Sung Hyun's much younger and inexperienced nephew. Everyone was confused upon hearing nephew. Tai explained.
"Sung Hyun did have an older brother some years back. His brother had a wife, she had a baby and somewhere along that, the older brother died, passing down the reigns of his empire to his younger brother Sung Hyun until his son was old enough. But now since Sung Hyun is dead, Choong Jae is dead, the son has stepped up."
Jia nodded as he lit a cigarette and said,
"How old is the son?"
Tai sighed as he put his hands in his pockets and said,
"He's a few weeks shy of being eighteen."
I heard a delighted cry of happiness and a clap as Toki leaned on Jia's shoulder and said,
"Li, if he's cute can I have him?"
Jia looked at him from the sides of his eyes as he said,
"You're always thinking with your dick aren't you?"
"For the most part yeah."
"Toki, we're working here."
"Oh come on! You let me have Ryuhei before."
"That was business."
"So is this!"
Jia sighed as he exhaled the smoke from his mouth and said,
"Fine."
Toki smirked, that same disgusting smirk I was growing to hate as he then sat up straight and lit a cigarette himself. Tai then continued.
"His name is Yu Jun and by all accounts, anything everyone is guessing is right. This kid has zero experience. He also wants someone to come bail him out so they could take care of this."
Jia leaned back against the couch in his hotel room as he said,
"So this will be so easy. It wasn't worth the flight here."
Tai sighed as he said,
"We didn't know it would be so easy."
Aoki lit another cigarette as he said,
"So Jia how about a handful of us go back to Tokyo and leave this to some of us. Not really worth having you and everyone else here."
Jia thought about it for a moment before he said,
"Be a waste for everyone to go back since we just got here."
He thought for a moment, the rest of us more or less waiting. Toki finally said,
"Shit it might as well be an extended vacation."
Jia looked at him as he said,
"What he said. Consider it a vacation, this is too easy to do sometimes. Okay Tai, you, me, Toki and Gabriel we'll go to see this Yu Jun kid, see what we can work out. Aoki, Jun, you'll back us. The rest of you can sit here and wait. We'll be back more then likely before the end of the night."
Jia and Toki got up as they went to work as everyone else who was assigned went with them. Mean while, Mikkie, Akio, me and Aya stayed behind and went to our rooms. Akio sat down on his bed as he brushed his hair back. He then laid back on his bed and sighed, his arms crossing over him as he said,
"You're quiet."
"Sorry."
"No, I'm just thinking how Aoki-like that is."
I bit my lip. I didn't like being compared to Aoki...just because...well just because he's my dad and I supposedly look like him when he was my age. I then sat on the edge of my bed, more towards him as I said,
"Akio...tell me about yourself."
"There's nothing interesting about me."
"Where you always a yakuza?"
He laughed.
"Nah. I use to be a cop."
My eyes widened slightly as an eyebrow went up.
"A cop? Like a police officer?"
"Hai."
He sat up his hair returning to where it's always been as he took off his coat. He then folded it beside him as I said,
"And you said there was nothing interesting about you. Why'd you become a yakuza if you were a cop?"
"Because like your daddy, my daddy was a yakuza too. Only not as well known as yours. He died before I ever met him so I felt it was something that was a part of me. It was never explained to me so I had to find out on my own."
"What do you mean it wasn't explained?"
"My mother never told me she was my fathers concubine which is how she got me."
"My mother too.."
"Yeah but unlike you I was a little momma's boy when I was your age."
"Really?"
"Hai. I listened to whatever my mother said. Which is why I was a cop."
"Oh...I never listened to my mother. It got me in trouble a lot of the times."
He laughed as he said,
"So, enough about me."
"But you didn't tell me how you became a yakuza."
He sighed and then looked at me as he said,
"I knew Jia when I was a cop. He said if I ever needed to get away from being a cop, when my mother died, I could come to him, he would take me in as a yakuza."
"Oh...that's so interesting."
He stood up, taking off his tie as he said,
"You're really sheltered before this weren't you?"
"A little yeah."
He sat down again after tossing his tie near his coat as he said,
"You've been at this a year and you're still the same."
"I am?"
"Sure. You haven't changed. Which is rare. When I first got in this, that's the first thing I did."
"You changed?"
"More then you know."
He gave me this look before he stood up and then went to pick up his suitcase. He sighed as he said,
"Brought all this shit for no reason."
He was going through everything when there was a knock at the door. Akio looked at it suspiciously as I did when we heard,
"It's just me."
Akio opened the door as Aya stood on the other side.
"Hey Pretty Aya. What's up?"
Akio let him in as Aya walked past him and went to Akio's bed where he laid down in a fluid movement. It was almost hypnotic the way he moved. It was like watching Tsubasa. Aya was on his stomach, his elbows supporting his body as his hair fell over the sides of his face, his pretty eyes batting softly as he said,
"I'm bored."
"Me too." Said Akio, sitting beside him. I then said,
"We should do something."
They both looked at me as Aya said,
"Like...?"
I shrugged. I was just suggesting. Akio then said,
"Club?"
"Hm..good idea."
Aya turned over on his back, the action in itself stimulating as his long legs came up and bent as he brought his arms over his head.
"We have to wait for everyone else to come back though."
I was amazed with how beautiful Aya was. I smiled as I watched him move, talk...then I remembered who he was. My father's seiai. My face kinda screwed up at that thought and Akio noticed.
"You okay?"
"Huh?"
I wasn't actually aware that Akio was watching me.
"You look like something bothered you."
"Oh...um.."
I couldn't very well say what had bothered me. So I just shrugged and said,
"Nothing weird thought. That's all."
Aya sat up as he said,
"Where's Mikkie?"
"Ah you know Little Ghost."
Aya nodded as I said,
"What about him?"
"Antisocial. Rather not be involved."
"Oh. Why is he like that?"
"Mikkie's not...um..."
Akio fumbled with some words trying to describe Mikkie is as Aya said,
"Mikkie doesn't deal well with social situations because he doesn't feel anything, he rather not show how he doesn't react."
"That's sorta inhuman."
"Not really, just a yakuza's way."
I yawned as Aya said,
"Aka-chan may be too young for this."
Akio sorta smirked as I said,
"I am not. I'm just bored."
They sat and talked for a while as I listened on the conversation, not really talking much myself. After almost four hours, Jia called Aya and let him know things were done and they were returning.
Within twenty minutes everyone was regrouped again. Jia explained the situation to those that didn't go.
"It was a waste of time. The kid had no clue what he was doing. Once he heard we were yakuza he broke."
Toki laughed as he said,
"Looked like a scared deer in headlights."
"Hai...he was too scared to reject anything I might have said to him. Sung Hyun's empire which probably took him a life time to build was just signed over to me."
Everyone was pleased. Seoul was just placed in Jia's hands without a fight.
"And this is why you don't place large empires in children's hands." Said Gabriel.
Jia laughed as he agreed. He then sighed and said,
"So this trip won't be a waste of time and money, I am assigning some of you to learn Seoul. Mikkie, Joryu since you two where here before and actually ran into some of the local little gang bangers, you two will be assigned. Tai, you, Gabriel, Akio and Aya go turn Sung Hyun's empire into the property of the 36 Moons. The rest of you, go learn Seoul."
We all began getting ready to leave...with Mikkie as my partner again. He wasn't saying much...then again he never was. And now with his strawberry blonde hair still in a half twist at the crown of his head, the ends falling over his shoulders, longer strands of bangs over his face as if he meant to style it that way when he just did it naturally. After getting ready, we went out into Seoul, the early evening dusk just settling, girls in their school uniforms crossing streets as they covered their mouths to laugh as they went on their way home. Seoul in all it's familiarity was easy to track through. It went quickly enough. Not three hours, the evening now way beyond settled in, Mikkie still trapped in his silence...no pun intended, we finally went through the entire part of our city. Mikkie checked back with Aoki to see how he was doing, but since Aoki made a lifetime career out of this, he was done as well. Mikkie finally turned to me as he said,
"We're done."
We started headed back to the hotel when his cell phone rang again. He answered as he then sighed and said
"Okay...I'll be there soon."
He hung up as he said,
"Go ahead without me."
"Oh...okay."
He turned and went down the street we just went up as he turned a corner and disappeared as I returned to the hotel. I went to the room Akio and I were sharing as he said,
"Come on Aka-chan. We got the night off. Let's go club."
I shrugged as he agreed to let me change and then I went out with him, Aya, Jun and Gabriel. Tai was busy going over things with Jia and Toki had already sunk himself somewhere in the club scene so the rest of us were free to go. So...easy job done. Jia now had yet another city added to his empire and the rest of us went to celebrate.
