Part 117- Two Times the Trouble

Everything grew to a steady calm pattern. I liked having free time...but after a while I could only get felt up so much and watch so many strip shows, fuck random females and Ichiro for so long. After a while, The Itto Ketsuen, The Yami and Ren and Kotei headed back to New York. So I was now stuck with doing nothing until something did occur. I hung out with Hisoka during my time off. He suggested we do something to pass the time and I of course agreed. Hisoka had someone he was seeing at the time, but it wasn't a real relationship which was why he spent so much time with me. One night, a few days after I bumped into that small creature that blushed at me, I told Hisoka about him. He scolded me for not talking to him, or at least trying to get to know him.

"You should spoken to him."

"I'm mad I didn't. He blushed at me."

"That's cute."

"I can't remember the last time anyone blushed at me."

Hisoka laughed as he said,

"He was that cute huh?"

"Very."

"You like the innocent type."

"Easier to corrupt."

He laughed as we continued to have our drinks.

I didn't think about that boy again until later when I was walking, getting ready to head to Jia's office for a brief meeting on how everything was now when I stopped by a store, gazing in as I always did, making mental notes when I stared past the clothes on display and saw him again. The same frail face, though framed by darkness before, still visible, his cheeks filling with red again as I smiled at him once we made eye contact. He turned away and went further into the store and I went inside. I would be late to the meeting, but it wasn't anything that important. I went inside, looking around for that short black and blonde hair as I finally saw him looking through some shirts in the back. I went over to him as I looked at him from the sides of my eyes. I noticed his face had gotten red again and he tried to clear his throat but it wasn't working. I finally turned to him and said hi. He looked up at me as he said, hi back, his eyes looking anywhere else but at my face.

"What's your name?"

"Anou..."

He looked away and wanted to leave as I said,

"Onegai? Tell me..."

He cleared his throat as he said,

"Toshihiro."

"Kawaii..."

He blushed an even deeper red as he said,

"I have to go."

I gently grabbed his wrist as I said,

"Wait...."

He turned back as his eyes sparkled in this way that made him seem so perfect. So innocent...like a perfect uke. He stopped as he said,

"H-hai?"

He stuttered. If possible, my smile would have gotten wider. I then said,

"Would you like to have a cup of coffee with me?"

"Anou...kontonisuruto..."

I smiled slightly, though my smile started to feel like that of one of Toki's smirks. I almost got sick of myself. I then cleared my throat, trying to wipe that hungry look off my face as I said,

"Onegai."

He then checked his watch as he said,

"Quickly though."

I nodded as we left.

I had coffee with my little perfect uke. We made small talk, asking him where he was from and why he was in Tokyo. He didn't say much, his shyness causing him to stare down into his coffee cup more. Something about him made me think he wasn't what he seemed. The gentleness of his voice made think he was this shy, perfect blushing uke, but the way he dressed and sat told me otherwise. He looked young, but that whole looking young, not actually being that way was something I was still mastering. There were tall tell signs of how old someone actually was. Jia for example looked like he was still in his twenties. His smoking and drinking habits show he has well above the normal tolerance. He acted much older too...at times anyway. Same with Tsubasa, his baby face made it seem like he was forever in his teens when he was well in his thirties. Anyway, I admired Toshi's well pressed black silk shirt underneath his knee length winter coat. He smiled slightly, his hand covering his mouth when he did. So precious. After about half an hour, he looked at his watch, his black and blonde hair spilling over his eyes from when he pulled it back as he said,

"Oh! I have to go. I'm late."

I checked my watch as I said,

"Fuck...me too."

I paid for the coffee as he thanked me and I asked him as we walked out of the cafe,

"When can I see you again?"

"I'm...not sure."

He blushed as he said it. I then said,

"I'm sure I'll find you again."

He continued to blush before he finally went his way, I went my own.

I was late to the meeting. So late in fact I missed it. When I got to the building, Jia was in the lobby about to leave. I thought he would be mad but he really didn't care. He said it was nothing important anyway. He then pat my shoulder as he passed me on his way out. I then shrugged and went around to find Hisoka. A few days later, the relaxation finally broke. Tai sighed as he came in Jia's office a few days later while I was there talking with Jia. Tai apologized for interrupting as he said,

"There's someone here."

"What do you mean?"

"In the city."

Tai set down some folders filled with papers as he said,

"Lower heads got word and confirmed. There is someone here."

"Good or bad? Because mostly, I don't think I can handle anymore people wanting to take over my city. It's getting boring."

"No, I think it's different."

"Oh good. What is it then if they're not trying to take over?"

"Apparently, they're after someone."

"Who?"

"Nishiki."

Jia raised an eyebrow as he said,

"Nishiki? Nishiki hasn't done a damn thing to make enemies for the past twenty odd years."

"I know. That's what have me confused. But have you spoken to Nishiki lately? Have you heard a lot of his people have been taken down?"

"No, I haven't."

"Nishiki's men have been going out for regular checks, working slightly since nothings been going on and a lot of them have not been coming back. When they were found, they were dead. Some dead for days."

"So this isn't my problem as much as it is Nishiki's."

"Hai."

"Well it's still my problem. Nishiki has been my partner since I set up in Tokyo the second time. I can't let anything happen to him."

"We have to find out who the problem is first off Jia."

"Obviously. I'm sure you already know."

"I do. His name Yuuki Yasuhiro."

He took out a picture from the folder as Jia looked at it and then passed it to me as I looked and my eyes got wide. I then said,

"Wait..."

Tai and Jia looked at me as I said,

"I had coffee with this guy a few days ago."

Jia sighed as he said,

"You always talk to enemies before hand?"

"Yeah but he said his name was Toshihiro."

"He didn't know who you were right?" asked Tai

"I doubt it. I had sleeves on so my tattoo wouldn't be revealed."

"Maybe he recognized your face." Said Jia.

"From where? My reputation isn't close to following my appearance."

"Then why would he lie about his name?"

"And his appearance."

Jia and Tai looked at me again as I set the picture down on the table and pointed to his hair as I said,

"When I met him, he had black hair, blonde streaks in it. But here, he has blonde hair, black streaks."

"He could have changed his hair in a few days." Said Jia.

"True...but something tells me this isn't the guy I met. Yet I know his face."

Jia and Tai then looked at each other looked at each other as Tai said,

"Brothers?"

"That or the same guy." Said Jia.

Tai shrugged as he said,

"We'll look into it. In the mean time, Nishiki should be on the look out."

"I'll call him."

I got up from my chair as Jia picked up the phone to call Nishiki and I followed Tai out. I then said,

"Anything I could do?"

"Call Jun and find out who this guy is. Look for him. If he's after Nishiki there's probably a reason for it."

I nodded as I called Jun and let him know. The both of us met up sometime later and went out to look for this guy. I told Jun about the situation and he said,

"Maybe they are brothers. Twins even. If you think it's a different guy and you know him by another name, it might be a different guy."

"You think there's two of them?"

"Sounds like. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out."

"Maybe you're right. It feels like there's two of them."

Jun nodded as we went through the city. We got random calls from the other top heads that were searching the two out. Finally Mikkie called me and said,

"We got something."

"What?"

"Their name, Yuuki, is recognized. It's a well known name tied to something bigger."

"How much bigger? I hope we're not dealing with the Teo Chiu again."

"No, not the Teo Chiu but definitely something else."

"I wonder what."

"So do I. I'll look into that right now."

"Did you find either Toshihiro or Yasuhiro?"

"Nothing. Just that the last name is tied to something bigger."

I nodded as we hung up and told Jun. Jun then said,

"Hai, Aoki found out the same thing."

"What could they be tied to bigger then the Teo Chiu if it's not us?"

"Not sure Jo. We'll find out though."

We continued to walk, trying to find out who these two were...if there was two which I was now more certain there was two of them. Around two that morning as I drank my coffee, it was confirmed there were two of them. Tai called to tell me.

"Twins brothers. There are two of them. The oldest one is Yasuhiro. The younger is Toshihiro. And from what has been collected, Yuuki is a name tied to something else aside form us and the Teo Chiu but it hasn't been confirmed to what yet though."

"So we heard."

"I'll keep working on that though."

I nodded as I said,

"I'll call you back later Tai."

We hung up as Jun and I kept working. He didn't say anything and neither did I. Anyway, as I sat at the park, my now empty can of coffee in my hands as I rested my elbow on my knees as I yawned and said,

"What time is it?"

"Almost three thirty."

I nodded, reaching into my pockets for a cigarette as I lit it and then exhaled. I leaned back on the bench as Jun stood up, stretching as he said,

"Think we should call it in?"

"I guess. Unless something else is going to show up I don't think there's much we can do."

Jun nodded and we decided to start going back home, but we would walk and keep a look out in case anything did occur. We were four blocks away from the point of separation where Jun had to make one turn and I made the other to get to my apartment when his cell phone rang and a moment later mine did as well. I answered, putting my ear piece in my phone as I said,

"Hai?"

"Jo, it's done."

"What is?"

"They got Nishiki."

"Shit..."

I brought my hand to my forehead as I said,

"Is he dead?"

"Not sure. You should go to the hospital. Aoki and I are already here."

"Hai, I'll be there soon."

I hung up as Jun did and I said,

"It was Aya...he just told me that they shot Nishiki."

"Yeah, Mikkie called with the same information. He's on his way to the hospital now."

"We should go."

We hailed a cab and though there was few at this time of night we managed to get one and headed to the central hospital in the Roppongi District.
