A Death Knight is a mockery of what he/she once was in life. They no longer hold the same ideals or values that they had while alive. Although s/he no longer walks the righteous path, they do still uphold a twisted sense of honor and justice, but now it is rooted in the seeds of absolute chaos.
The motivations of a Death Knight are very similar to that of a lich - power.
