Childhood pictures
0--12 years old

Everything around me was  exciting and amazing.

Even though I could not speak, I was  still smart enough to get my needs met  with my big smile, babbling,  and even hand gestures.

My major responsibility at the moment was  eat, sleep, play and make sure I didn't cry too often.

Six months old

Started K, but life was  still pretty simple. The challenge at this moment was count to 100,  and I could master it very well .

I  was  happy everyday, life could  never be e better!

P.S. I loved wearing lacy dress.

Four year old

By this stage,  I have already considered  myself as a little pianist.

Primary school was  fun, I met different  people and started to have my own circle of friends.

Seven year old

Don't I looked stressed! High school in China was extremely demanding, it started at seven twenty each  morning six days per week.

Study  seemed to be  extremely difficult  with twelve subjects going on, ten different types of home work each weekend.

Let me have a break!

Aldolescence pictures 12 --- 21 years old

This was the last photo I have taken with my classmates in China. I have been close to most of the girls in the class and still keep in touch with some of them.

After living in Australia for six years, this was my first visit back to my home country  China. It was also the biggest family reunion in the past ten years with all my maternal family members but my uncle gathering together in Shanghai.

China has  changed dramatically in those times, sky scrapers were erected, high ways were built and a large amount of shopping complexes were  constructed....  However, at the same time, you could still visit the beautiful old gardens and enjoy a lovely picnic or a  quite read .

I started to know Yun  when I was in year seven. Since then, we have been very good friends, -- support and  encourage each other during times of stress,  and   try  our best to help one another when needed.

Even though Yun  is still in China at the moment,  we still keep in contac regularly by writing.  I hope I will be able to see her soon.

During the christmas break between 1999 and year 2000, I backpacked Thailand and South China with a few friends. This  was the first time I have been on an overseas trip with friends and it proved to be a great learning experience as well as a good holiday.

The trip lasted 28 days: we saw  the emrald buddha of Bankok, rode elephants in Chiangmai, visited the Stone Forest in Kunming and saw the beautiful farms  in South China.

My future:

A  friend once  commented  that I was  obssessed with planning of my future. I think he exaggerated the fact a bit, but  I do think about this  quite often. I hope I will become someone who is  not only able to  contribute to the society and  help the others but  is also  considered "useful". I will try my best to perrsue this dream and eventually it  will come true.

I believe  all of the human beings are equal and god is fair to everyone. Someone might seem to be happy and sucessful , but they often have their own problems hiding behind their smiling  face and are trying very hard to cope with these problems. The most important thing is to try your best and never give up!

Good luck to you all.
