The Easter Tree

My parents bought me a tree for Easter.  The weather cooperated for planting and Grammy enjoyed watching the whole procedure..  I did actually help, but since I was also the photographer I don't show up in front of the camera...

	The first step was to dig a big hole..  Here Larry works with the shovel while Alice looks on.
Some of the dirt was very hard - typical for Lancaster County, so Larry broke out the pick axe.
	Here Larry uses the digging iron to deepen the hole.
Larry mixes palite and peat moss in with the dirt.  This makes the soil soft and fluffy for the tree roots to grow through.
	Juanita holds the tree while Larry fills in the hole.
Tada!  A tree grows in Ephrata... It's some kind of cherry, will grow to 20' and have pink flowers.
