I'm an avid reader and on this page I will share with you my current
book. Think of this as Emoui's Book-of-the-Month, though current book(s)
may be updated more often depending on how much free time I have :)
I just finished rereading Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny. This is one I had read in high school and enjoyed, but didn't really remember. I enjoyed it, but it was a little odd. Interesting exploration of what happens when religion goes too far.
I also recently read The Great Book of Amber, also by Roger Zelazny. This is a compilation of all 10 Amber novels in one volume. I loved it - very hard to put down!
Between the 2 Zelazny books, I read A Fistful of Sky by Nina Kiriki Hoffman. Not only does this author have a cool name, but she writes well. This is the story of a girl growing up, dealing with her family, an absolutely gorgeous, overprotective mother, dealing with being overweight, a new relationship with a boy. Oh and this family also happens to have magical talents in addition to all the other family stuff that goes on.
And with the recent Lord of the Rings movies, I've been rereading Tolkein, and enjoying those again as well.
And coming up next on the book list is The Crossroads of Twilight the latest in The Dragon Reborn series from Robert Jordan. This one came out so long ago, I'm actually reading it in paperback since I am woefully behind with my reading.
