mmm
Soul Thief

Gouges and chunks
of my universe
rearranged themselves
in stark relief
upon the canvas of yesterday.
Today
some of the pieces are
missing.
I know who is the
thief of my world.
Yesterday
you didn't exist,
but today you are
so gone.
Before your crime,
a life plodding on
in teaming color,
a bountiful tapestry
of hollow emptiness.
And now...
the gaping hold in your wake
storms the empty places
in my world
with crashing emotion
lush with pain.
Sweet thief,
my days are numbered
The Wink

I blinked and you were gone
a sway of space where you had been
yet touched my heart in ways unknown
I'm not the woman I was then

One kiss I sent to you
on innocent and purest wing
did reach its destination and
so touched you with my offering

Chance meeting of the eyes
in briefest beam-connected space
had plucked a single second free
as time was frozen in its place

You winked and I was yours
to catch the gift as it was tossed
one priceless moment from your heart
our paths in time forever crossed

One sapphire wrapped in smiles
aimed true- a jewel to crown the night
for me alone to treasure
forever in my heart's delight

mmm
I cry for the man
with a beautiful soul
I die for this man
who could make me whole
I ache in my heart
with a tender despair
And yearn for the man
who cannot be there
I long for the day
when dreams can come true
and I cry with the pain
of desire for you
