The Editor invites authors to submit manuscripts that advance conceptual understanding about the nature of Economic Development, Income Distribution and Poverty in Cameroon. Manuscripts may be historical, conceptual, or empirical in nature. Consistent with a multidisciplinary perspective and openness to multiple methods of inquiry, the Editors welcome a variety of views and approaches. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Economic Growth and Trends in Cameroon

2. Human Development Indicators and Trends in Cameroon

3. Governance, Social Choice and Income Distribution in Cameroon

4. Social Justice and Feminization of Poverty in Cameroon

5. Determinants of Relative and Absolute Poverty in Cameroon

6. Macroeconomic Adjustment and the Evolution of Incomes in Cameroon

7. The Impact of Globalisation on Growth and Poverty in Cameroon

8. Attaining the International Development Targets: Will Growth be Enough?

9. Policy Actions for Sustainable Growth and Equitable Income Distribution in Cameroon

"Economic Development, Income Distribution and Poverty in Cameroon" (Molua, E.L., ed.) attempts to establish the relationship between economic development and income distribution on the basis of available data in Cameroon. The book will examine the extent of poverty and inequalities, and their determinants by using available data for the 10 provinces of the country. It aims to bring out the relationship between structure of the economy and income distribution. The book should derive the policy actions for more equitable distribution and policy package for the purpose for developing countries like Cameroon.

Deadline for submissions of Abstracts: August 1, 2003

Deadline for submissions of Full/Completed Paper: January 30, 2004

Submit one (1) copy of each manuscript along with a diskette containing the manuscript in Word format. The author’s name should not appear anywhere except on the cover page - since the double blind review process will be employed. The author should keep an extra, exact copy for future reference.
