The Get Up Kids
These guys rule they have loads of records, about 5 to 7 last i checked, best one is FOUR MINUTE MILE,  their stuff is really melodic, and can some times come accross as whiney, but their lyrics are really good and i like their stuff. they are fourth generation emo.
post-hardcore indie-rock emo

Rival Schools
these guys are really good, their music has a lot of energy and emotion, their new album Rival Shools Unite, has become a real big seller in the UK.
post-hardore indie-rock emo/ new punk

Schneider
these guys are on the local circuit in hong kong, emo style vocals mixed in with punky and grundgy riffs.check 'em out.
post-haredore

King Ly Chee
this is hong knogs version of emo, famous on the local circuit, these guys are really professional, their music is third gen. emo, and is fairly heavy. good stuff.
emo.

HUNDRED REASONS
i saw them live twice, once as the support for AHF and again as the main artists, their music is loud and aggresive, good for moshing to, but they still have more melloer tunes, they just released their debut album, IF I COULD in england.
emo.

errortype:11
i saw them as the support band for hundred reasons, and i dont know much about them, i think they are american. their music is more punky than emo, i guess like a cross between Blink182 and rival school.
pop-punk/ emo

BANDS i like that you will probably hate.
dog bonfire
my friends, band, they've, been around for a couple of years, and are kinda, Rachel Stamp-esque in terms of style, very heavy and very fast, i recken they'll be big in the near future.
metal

hell is for heroes
these guys were support for AHF and for hundred reasons, and were really good at hyping up the crowd, they do have a more poppy feel but, guess they are more indie.
indie-rock/punk

mighty mighty boss tones
ska-core at its best, they played live at the tibetan freedom concert, and were made famous by their song, the impression that i get.
ska-core

blink-182
we all know these guys by now but its worth mentioning their earlier stuff, like off their debut album buddah, and cheshir cat, which both have really good songs, and are sung in true hardcore punkish fashion.
pop-punk(now)/ posthardcore punk (older stuff)

american hi fi
these guys are all from previous bands, form the likes of veruca salt. their first album, self titled, was big for like two weeks over in the uk, but didnt really hit off, they played a reading last year, and i saw them at the fleece. really poppy stuff but with emoesque lyrics and punky guitar. basically just indie rock.
