Through my Eyes I see myself Watching others move about. Not a word uttered from my mouth Watching the world like watching TV. Sometimes switching off the sound, Sometimes turning up the sound; Sometimes weary of looking up, Sometimes weary of looking down. Eyeballs shift within my sockets Probing deeper into human beings Pushing, piercing, tearing, scraping Into the essence of your being. Those eyeballs dark, those eyeballs sharp Looking, looking, starring, starring. Lids unblinking, eyelids lidless Tapping into the mind of others. Freezing faces, turning faces Studying, learning through the ages Shaping myself into perfection Shaping myself into nothingness.
Through the windows of my soul I watch people moving through their lives Full of laughter, full of love Secure within their environment. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, Sometimes yearning, sometimes rejecting, Sometimes loving, sometimes despising, Sometimes never knowing what to expect. I glance at everything before me Praying, wishing, dreaming, hoping Enhancing yet clouding the vision before me Healing everything I see. The windows bright, the windows soft Dreaming, dreaming, watching, watching Lids unblinking, eyelids lidless Fading into my own prison Changing faces, refining faces Shaping, creating through the ages Shaping myself into loveliness Shaping myself into nothingness. |
