Situation

I remember when it all came undone,
I heard it on the radio
The war on Iraq has begun
All the soldiers packed up to go.

There wasnt much proof that Saddam had bombs,
But off Bush went to fight,
And just like a bad NBC sitcom
We screamed, This isnt right!

The missiles came whizzing down,
Jeering at the little kids,
Cities became Ghost Towns,
While their leaders ran and hid.

Then we hear on CNN,
Soldiers captured by Iraq
All the mothers of the men
Cried, We want them back!

Perhaps its better theyre not here,
Better for them fighting wars,
Cause even if its bombs they fear,
Were all scared of SARS!

Now just set down your gun,
And let doves fly free again,
We cant stop the rising of the sun
But we can stop Evils reign.

A little dated, I know, but I like the rhymes.

War Renga

silent struggling
resisting the Temptations
no one understands

deaf to the exploding sounds
death is like a peaceful sleep

peace has flown away
the doves wont nest in war planes
hand grenades are laid

cant we plant the Seed of Hope
shot down before it can grow

Stone Gods beaten down
forgotten by our children
will bring new conflict

hard hitting Hiroshima
distraction from the Home Front

Might seem a little dull if you arn't familliar with Renga,
but basically it's a long form of Haiku.
