Greetings from the Pastor
I count myself blessed of the Lord to be the 8th child of the Late Jasper and Josephine Harrell.  I was born and raised in Tangipahoa Parish.  I graduated from Westside High School in 1965.  In 1966, I went into the US Army and served in the Vietnam War.  In 1973, I graduated from Straight's Business College and continued my education at Southern University in New Orleans, LA.
In 1987, I accepted the greatest call of my life.  This call was to preach God's word and compel men and women to come to God with repenting hearts.  In 1991, I was lead of God to begin a new ministry in Amite, and as pastor, I began to seek spiritual guidance for a building to house the children of God.  The Lord directed me to a land location and showed me in vision where the church would be built.  I had few members and little money, so I was in desperate need of a miracle.  The Lord spoke to me and assured me of my ability to build a building from the ground up.  The challenge was met, and in 1993 the construction began.  One year later, the church was dedicated.

Today, through the continuing gracious goodness of a loving Heavenly Father, we are privileged to celebrate our 10th year church anniversary.  God has blessed me as a leader to know and better understand the wiles of the devil.  Christ came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly.  My heart is filled with gratitude and thanks to the members, friends, families and love ones that helped to make this great day a reality.

:When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walketh through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.  Isaiah 43:2
Emmanuel, the Lord is not finished with us yet.   He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.  Philippians 1:6

Be Blessed, Emmanuel
