This was my first layout created back on August 19, 2004 and it ran through September 26, 2004.
Idol actually underwent another change after this but it was a very similar one that I don't have a
screenshot of. I used Photoshop slices and HTML coding, mainly with tables, to make this. I was
very much into the black and yellow theme from Dino Thunder since Emma played Kira, the Yellow
Ranger. This was one of the first Emma Lahana fansites on the web and was acknowledged by
Emma herself on the original Lahana Forums!
This layout came officially to Idol on October 18, 2004. I didn't update it as often as I should have,
but nonetheless, it still remained one of the few Emma fansites on the web and had hundreds of hits.
I again used Photoshop slices, HTML, and tables to create this. In February of 2005, I began to search
for a new look for Idol, seeing as how Emma was beginning a "new chapter" in her career.
I uploaded this version on February 21, 2005 and it stayed up pretty long. It became the most popular
look for Idol and in it's 7 month run became a #1 fansite. I used Photoshop for the header image and
the rest was made with HTML tables. The black and white, I felt, looked simple and elegant (like Emma)
and I wanted to use the new pictures that were added on her official site. Idol remained like this until
August 07, 2005.
This version was put on the web on August 11, 2005 after four days of brainstorming, coding,
and work. I kept with the gray-ish themes and created the header and tables from Photoshop. I used div layers
and HTML coding. I also worked with a stylesheet. Even a year after Idol has been open, it still remains a
popular site for Emma fans!
Alright, admit it, we were all getting tired of the gray...At least I was! On September 04, 2005, I uploaded
this layout to Idol. The quote at the top is from Emma herself ("...I don't have to put up a front and pretend
I'm something else.") and the pictures came from her Dino Thunder days. I kept up the div layers and
HTML to create this style.
After months on hiatus (sorry about that!), Idol comes back strong with a new layout! Uploaded on
February 25, 2006, version six features pictures from Emma's performance at the London International
Awards. I again used div layers and HTML to create this style, including Photoshop slices.
