Manic Lullabye
How it Happened (AKA My Excuse)
Believe it or not, it took me about a year to get to this stage. The first draft I remember, I made up in a GCSE exam. Of course, it was slightly different when I came to write it down, having had no paper to hand at the time. (Well, there was the exam papers obviously, but few if any examiners take kindly to random chunks of poetry being inserted into the margins of a history paper.)

Anyway, to cut a long story short, not much happened to Manic Lullabye until I accidentally recited the first couple of lines to a friend.(Look, in my defence, I was very tired and not entirely in control of my faculties.) A friend heard it, and demanded a copy. Then he, and others, kept demanding that I write more. So it was really only about half a year of writing...

Anyway! You didn't want excuses, you wanted poetry. Here be poetry.
