The History of the Orchard
The Doud family has been involved with growing fruit for over 100 years.   The first orchard owned by Doud's in Indiana is still in operation by relatives in Miami County.  In the mid-1980's David Doud left that family orchard to plant his own, just across the countyline.  Since then, the 35 acres of apples has been expanded to include 5 acres of peaches, 5 acres of strawberries, and several acres of pears including asian pears.  Throughout northern Indiana, the name Doud atomatically conjours up the image of quality fruit.  Now, thanks the Internet, it is our hopes to expand to a wider audience.
