| just one of those things: current obsessions |
| 1. Never thought I'd say this, but I love this city. Where's Randy Newman? I'd like to shake his hand. 2. My cowboy hat from Oklahoma. My antique doll has been wearing it for a good month now, but I'll wrassle it away from her soon, mark my words. 3. Wistful songs sung by vaguely annoying white men, ie, anything by Bob Seger or Bad Company. 4. Continuing the vaguely annoying thread, I've been cutting and pasting my life away into scrapbooks. See what happens when you're jobless for a month? 5. People from my past have been surfacing like crazy. People I loved, too, not the crappy ones. My brother calls me all the time, too! Whee! 6. I really, really, really need to learn to step dance properly. After seven years of creative faking, it would be nice to go legit. 7. "Ol' 55" and "Hold On" by Tom Waits. I just can't get enough of those songs. 8. Clark Gable. And apparently the L.A. Times is stealing my thoughts, because right after my own obsession began, theirs did. That's okay; what's not to love? 9. I have to get another pair of boots, what with the heel being suddenly unfashionable... ugh. I hate when that happens. I wonder if I'll find another pair marked down to $40 from $140 like I did with the old ones. 10. I'm almost 26, which is almost 30. |
