A native of Knoxville, Tennessee Angela Richardson grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Proud of her Appalachian heritage, Mrs. Richardson has chosen to remain in east Tennessee where she currently resides with Darrell, her high school sweetheart and husband of eighteen years and their two children, Emilee, 15 and Parker, 6.
Somewhat of a late-bloomer, Mrs. Richardson received her Associate of Science degree in Social Work from Roane State Community College 1997 at the age of 33. She is currently continuing her education and pursuing her Bachelors degree in Social Work from East Tennessee State University with plans to graduate in the spring of 2007.
In her spare time, Angela enjoys reading and cooking international foods. An accomplished bread maker, she lives by her grandmothers kitchen motto the bigger the mess, the better the taste. In her kitchen, everything is made from scratch.
Angela is also active in her local church where she sings with the church choir and is program director for the Womens Missionary Union. She also serves on the Pre-school committee and works in the church nursery. Richardson is also a vocal advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and education. She often volunteers with the Hope Center, a non-profit organization aimed at support of those living with HIV/AIDS. |
