Policy of Stability

The Saraphian Emirate is striving to contribute to stability on Scandia, being very much aware that in the global era, instability in regions may have serious consequences for all nations on Scandia. The emirate is no supporter of armed uprisings against legitimate governments, increased power of global corporatism, nor does it approve of destabilizing actions in general. Peaceful transition of power, dialogue and respect for other cultures are the only way for Scandia, anything else will lead to chaos and said instability.

Policy of Partnership

The Saraphian Emirate is actively looking for international partners for the development of the nation. It seeks mutual beneficiary relations with foreign institutions, organisations, companies and governments alike. In cooporation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Treasury, we offer reasonable terms for establishing foreign company presence in our nation. In coorporation with the ministry of Education and Science we encourage our students to study abroad, and we are always looking for more international agreements with other nations that will enable our students to do so. The Brodin scholarship program established with the Kingdom of Vetlanda is one such example.

Religious Policy

The Saraphians take their religion very serious. It affects all aspects of life, and thus also foreign policy. The religious policy is aimed at providing Saraphians abroad with room, means and rights to prayer. Moun worshipers around the globe may always call upon our government when in need of assistence.

Policy of Saraphian Diaspora

Saraphians (and their descendants) can be found in all corners of the world. Because of blood bonds, the Saraphian people have expressed their desire that our government aid people of Saraphian descendancy around the globe. The government understands their concerns and will always try to ensure safety and freedom of Saraphian diaspora. Foreigners who can appeal to this policy must be of Saraphian descendancy, meaning having a male ancestor born in Saraphia.

Policy of Non Neutrality

Neutrality seems to be in fashion on Scandia nowadays. For various reasons that all seem to boil down to not interferring in international conflict. The Saraphian Emirate government beliefs this policy to be short sighted and unlogical. An ignored international conflict will not go away, it will continue to grow and fester untill one day it reaches one's own borders. as we are living in the global age, any conflict on the planet automatically affects other nations, and thus threathens stability (see stability policy). Therefore, the Saraphian Emirate is always taking an active interest in international conflict and what goes on in the international arena. Neutrality is sheer stupidity and cowardness.
