Economic activity:
Main economic activity are the Rub Al-Smelli oil fields, the produce of citrus fruits and olives and the trade with bordering Fixatian communities. The services sector is relatively large, due to the presence of a military facility & training grounds. The majority of the people live from small-scale fishing activities and self-supporting agricultural activity.
