How to get there?

When visiting the Saraphian Emirate we recommend flying with Saraphian Air, Scandia's truly global airline. The airline flies on all important countries. Saraphian Air airplanes are among the most modern and luxurious on Scandia. When visiting different parts of our nation to fully absorb our rich culture and history, use of this airline is indispensible. What documents are needed to visit the Saraphian Emirate?

  • valid tourist visa from a Saraphian Emirate embassy or consulate.
  • valid passport with recent picture.
  • statement of good behaviour of your local registry. (Ingallish)
  • statement of your bank, credit card company and insurance company. (Ingallish)

    What documents are needed for pilgrimage to the Holy Land:

  • valid pilgrimage permit (Saraphian language)
  • valid passport with recent picture
  • statement of membership from local Mounist church (Saraphian language)

    Can I drive a motor vehicle in the Saraphian Emirate?

    Foreign guests, tourists and visitors are allowed to drive a motor vehicle (or ride a camel) if they have the right qualifications. Most foreign drivers'licenses will be accepted as proof of driving skills, though the ministry of tourism advices to check the validity of your license with the Saraphian embassy, or consulate, in your country. Naturally we insist that both driver and the vehicle are insured. For more detailed info, please check the website of the ministry of Transport.

    What basic rules of conduct are there to observe?

    When visiting religious sites, palaces or other offical buildings, we strongly encourage to adapt to local dress, meaning no short skirts (enckles covered), no short sleeves (wrists covered), head dress for women, no shoes in Mounist Churches. Please treat locals with respect and sincerity, and do not take their pictures without their consent. Drinking alcohol outside designated areas is a SERIOUS offense.

    Is it possible to move to the Saraphian Emirate?

    The Saraphian Emirate is a fast developing economy in need of qualified workers. Unfortunately, not many Saraphians speak a foreign language. If you are active in the field of (higher) education, and are able to speak Saraphian, our government will welcome you with open arms. Should you be willing to move to the emirate, we urge you to contact the Saraphian embassy or consulate in your country. Please take in mind that our country is ruled under strict religious law, and that emigrating to the emirate is a very big step.

    Can I take my pet with me?

    Pets are free to enter the country, provided a proof of ownership can be presented to Saraphian authorities at all times during your staying. Animals entering the country must be quarantined for 3 weeks, and are subject to veterinarian inspection. The animal can be refused entrance. There is a fee, depending on the animal, for quirantine and inspection payable in advance. Animals not collected by their owners will become state property one month after end of quirantine. Please note that temperatures in our country could cause severe problems to pets.

    What about personal use items?

    The Saraphian Emirate government declines any responsability for damage, theft or loss to personal use items of foreign visitors. Valuables such as cameras, wedding rings etc. etc. should be insured when entering the country. The government warns of pick pockets and small crime in the inner cities, international airports and most major tourist attractions.

    Important:
    Please ensure that you can show a physicians statement in Ingallish/Saraphian, and a statement of your local Saraphian embassy or consulate, at all times for any medicine you wish to bring into the country. The punishment for drug trafficking is death by the sword.

    What can't I bring into the country?

    Customs is very strict in the Saraphian Emirate, and punishments for breaking the law are severe. There are no limits for bringing cash money into the country. The amount of money can become a problem when leaving the country. The following can't be brought into the country:

  • Cruistian bibles, or religious material other than approved by the Mounist Church.
  • Literature, magazines etc. regarded undesirable by the authorities
  • Alcohol, alcoholic beverages or other substances containing alcohol
  • Pork meat, pig skin clothing, shoes or otherwise
  • Guns, arms and weaponry, other than for personal use

    What can't I take home when leaving the country?

  • Objects of spiritual and historical significance, unless permit.
  • Cash money exceeding Cc. 1000 at once.
  • State papers, unless cleared with proper authorities.
  • Endangered species, dead or alive, unless permit
  • Gold and silver objects over a total of 25 carats, unless permit.
