More New Website FeaturesThis website has now been enabled for PicLens. PicLens is a very cool browser add-on (for IE, Firefox, and Safari) for viewing images. It can be downloaded for free here. After installation, your browser will sport a new toolbar button that can be clicked to launch the PicLens viewer, which will work on the pages with the PicLens badge And we'd like to remind you about our large image pop-ups. This feature applies to about three dozen images, mostly of the newer work. Beneath each of these images, after its title, there appears a symbol: [+] . This symbol is a link (try it!) If you click on it, a new window will pop up, displaying a larger image of that painting. (You may recognize these larger images from Emily's painting blog.) Emily's Painting BlogThere's another way to view Emily's paintings: Emily Lisker Paintings, the blog! As Emily finishes new paintings, they will be posted in the blog first, before being catalogued in this site. The blog postings include short commentary (by Bill) with comparisons to Emily's other paintings. Have a visit! Recent Paintings at GiGi'sOver a dozen of Emily's recent paintings are now on display at GiGi's Global Specialty Art in Woonsocket. Visit and say hello to GiGi! Teaching at the Beacon SchoolEmily has a new job! Emily was recently hired to be a part-time artist-in-residence at the Beacon Charter School for the Arts in Woonsocket. You can read about some of her experiences and thoughts in her blog, The Urban Mermaid. New Website!A few years ago, Planet Emily was constructed as Emily's main website, and this portfolio site was quickly assembled later as an offshoot. The intention now is to present this site as Emily's main site, and to keep Planet Emily as an illustration/special project site. We hope you enjoy the new layout - comments are welcome! |
