TUTORING OPTIONS


1. Math tutors are available in the cafeteria from 7:30 - 8:30am daily.  Individual appointments are not required.

3. SOL tutoring by subject begins in November.  You will have to return the SOL form for your child to participate or contact
Fay Aucamp, school improvement specialist, for more information.  You must sign up for this program through the school.

4. Helping Hands Homework Center begins in November .  A letter will come home if your child qualifies, or you can contact 
Ms. Reynolds for more information on who qualifies.  This program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45pm - 5:30pm and your child may ride the activity bus home.  Availability is very limited, so strict criteria will be followed for admittance.

5. Another option is to ask
Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Bilger to make an appointment for before or after school.  You will need a signed pass to get to the classroom before 8:50am.

6.  Each Wednesday in the cafeteria the gifted program offers peer tutoring from 8:20am - 8:50am.  Contact
Mary Perry, gifted resource teacher, for more information on the start date.

7.  You can also contact
Mrs. Newell or Mrs. Fredrickson for information regarding free weekly tutoring offered by the National Junior Honor Society members.

8.  For students participating in the VGLA for math, contact
Mrs. Bilger for information on tutoring outside of school hours.  This occurs on Thursdays in room 118 from 3:45 - 5:30.  A permission slip must be signed so contact Mrs. Bilger.
