Being the modest person that I am (haha), I am going to say I did not create a piece this year, which I considered to be weak. I was proud of the way I wrote each piece—the process I used, the effort I devoted, and the development of my ideas—as well as the actual outcome of each paper and the grade. Yet, at the same time, since all of my essays had some personal element to them, I am not comfortable picking my strongest piece of writing. I feel connected to each piece and also accept that it is impossible to have a "perfect" paper—there is always room for improvement and for learning. I entered this class feeling like a strong writer and am leaving feeling like a stronger, more creative one who has learned more about herself. With this experience, I also feel more confidant entering the English Regents process as well preparing to write college essays.
