I WONDER WHO DISCOVERED PATTY..... Way back in the 19th century, some scientists were trying out some new experiments with high voltage electric currents and putting them through gas tubes that were filled with low pressure gas, the cathode rays took the electric current and brought it from one cathode to the other anode. In 1897 J.J. Thompson tried many experiments. With the resultas, Robert Milikan discovered that electrons have a mass of 9.10 x 10 to the twentith power. From this he concluded that since atoms are not negativly charged, that somewhere there had to be a positive charge and that the electron is much smaller then the atom so there must be something else with a bigger mass in there. |
