NED THE NEUTRON
The neutron was discoverd in 1932 by James Chadwick. The neutron is located in the atom, it has no charge, and it weighs 1AMU (atomic mass unit). James found the charge by shooting berryllium rays at an atom and it emitted neutral radiation. The location was discoverd when Chadwick found the mass of the atom, the mass of the electrons, protons and the atom did not equal the total weight. He then realized there must be some thing more and he discoverd the neutron. The experiments were similar to the cathedode ray experiment. Chadwick relyed on the previous work of Rutheford to get him started on his experiment.
