The Kings Cylcle is a book of tales organized at the time of the historical or semi-historical Kings of Ireland (from the early AD to the middle ages) such as Conaire Mor, Conn of Hundred Battles, and Niall of Nine Hostages.
***It is also known as the Historical Cycle.*** The tales around the 12th Century began to be organized and classified by their words in the titles. They were then catagorized then as either chief tales or minor tales. The tales included unusual histories of real Irish Kings, voyages, adventures, and visions. |
