The Fenian Cycle
The Fenian Cycle was often called the Ossian Cycle.  The Fenian Cycle was a collection of stories about warriors within a military order called the Fianna Eireann. It began durning the reign of Conn Cetchathach and Cormac Ait.
The Fianna lived and trained in the wilderness, they were spit into two different groups:
-Bascna
-Morna
To become a member of the group you had to be a good athlete, have a gift of poetry, and would be tested---an example of a test would be warding off spears.

When the Early Christian Monks rewrote the stories they made changes in order to make  the Celtic gods  look less "god" like--- this way the gods would appear stonger.
