Rehearsal Notes

1. Tested out a few songs from the "Singing the Journey" (new) Hymnal. Top contenders for our next performance are Hymn 1032: Daoona Nayeesh and Hymn 1064: Blue Boat Home.
2. Other songs that we tested out and sort of liked (and that Emily O. managed to write down) are: Siyahamba, When the Spirit Says Do, and Lean on Me.
3. Practiced "Muddy Roads", an old-time bluegrass instrumental. Structure: ABB ABB*
4. Attempted to listen to "Oleander", but didn't have the CD, so we sang it as best we could from memory.
5. There is an opportunity to play at the Peace Concert on Friday, November 2 at 7:30pm at our church. If you haven't already, let Emily P. know if you'll be able to play or not.
6. "Tenting Tonight" should be put on the back burner for possible performance on Nov. 11. So, Tentatively Tenting Tonight...
7. Otherwise likely songs for Nov. 11th performance are Oleander, Muddy Roads, and one of the Hymns from Singing the Journey.
