Collect the Money and Make the Youngest Generation Happier |

Last year in March I moved to Virginia. People from Refugee and Migration Services found a shelter for my family and me. They found us a place to live, in Wellington Apartments, in Newport News. We were satisfied with our new home even though I felt so lost at that time because of differences from Bosnia and Virginia. During that time, I couldn't say what was missing in my neighborhood or in this area. In Newport News, there is an number of people who live in the apartment, like I do. There are some good and some bad things about that. I noticed that in many neighborhoods, we are missing a playground, for the kids. |

The residents in this area see the children are playing on their parking places, every day; they have no where special to go. Kids are everywhere; they ride a bicycle, or they are playing the ball games, practically, in the street. There is a very serious question about kid's safety. I was speaking with Ann Joyner who is the General Manager of the Wellington Apartments about this problem, and here is what she said,"We are struggling with that situation for a couple of years, but you must understand, that it is a very expensive investment. "Approximately, 16.000 sq. feet of the area is needed to place fairly large complex of playground equipment. Costs of a playset, run from few hundred dollars to $324,000,depending on components and configuration. There are many different parts of playground equipment. For instance, double swing with slide, then, tower (slide sandpit and trapeze), seesaw, and many others. |

There are some important points about standards for kid's safety. The owner must strictly follow special rules. The National Playground Safety Institute (NPSI) has statistic that show us, that more than 150,000 children are injured on playgrounds each year in the United States. |

|
Designers are combining wood, plastic, and iron, to create a fun filled world of fantasy. Surely, a playground will bring children many years of enjoyment, exercise, and healthy fun. |
|

|
Every child will always remember a favorite toy, and favorite place for play. Their world is special, so don't break it; let's build something that can make their world nicer and happier. All of us know that a grown person wants more, and more; kids are satisfied and happy with little things. Our obligation is to give them what they deserve,the rest of it will do , their imaginations. |
