Stormy Sea

A sea swirling down
    to an unlighted sky
A torrent of raging emotion
    pin points towards
One face on the eve of the storm
The look in your eyes
    brings a tear to mine
Then the typhoon begins anew
To love and desire
but to fear and to know
These tears as thick as blood
A brother by choice
As the Fates conspire to drive
the final nail through my heart
A bond unbreaking, but a chain
    that holds at bay
While the tide rises up
    the nausea returns
To an unworthy ship as
    the last whistle calls
    to the shore
The storm comes again
    and the riggings tear lose
As she goes down with all hands
A love that had sunk before it
began by the coward, the friend
    and the storm
