Did you notice that Rumple and Mungo havent done anything all day? spoke Victoria, while her, Electra, and Cassandra were sitting, cleaning themselves.
Now that you mention it darling, answered Cassandra, They have been acting rather odd lately, I wonder whats happening.
Maybe we could talk to them. Answered Electra, brushing her fur up nicely.
No darling, they must handle their own affairs, its none of our business. Answered Cassandra, slinking away, Vicki and Lecy looked to each other and then gazed over towards Rumple and Mungo, they looked so sad and not at all there perky selves.  They walked over to Rumple and Mungo and smiled and batted at their tails Hey Mungo, Rumple, wanna play? asked Victoria, smiling brightly.
No, no Fanks Vicky, I dun feel ike playing at oll. Answered Rumple in her cockney accent.  Mungo nodded at her reply.  Vicky and Lecy frowned and disappeared to annoy the kitten toms Tumble and Pounce.
Rumple and Mungo couldnt help but frown and shake their heads, they had been thinking all day of what happened two days ago

Two days ago, Sunday night
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were sitting on a huge elegant couch while two children, a boy and a girl, sat on the floor playing with dolls and toys cars.  The mum of the house sat knitting in a stunning loveseat.  Another cat, a tabby queen, lay on the arm of the loveseat, dozing.  All seemed quiet until the father came in, he slouched into a chair in the front room, his eyes full of tears, his wife immediately stood and walked over to his chair, kneeling to him, George darling, whats wrong?  What happened? asked the wife.
The son, Bobby, walked up, holding his toy car, Father, whats wrong?
Whats wrong daddy? said the small daughter, Wendy as she came over and hugged her fathers neck.  George blinked back tears, Rumple and Mungo couldnt help but worry now, the master of the house had never cried before, they stood and walked towards him.
I-I lost my job said George, he let the tears fall, Im-Im sorry Elizabeth I know you havent a j-job
Daddy, does that mean we gots ta leave Victoria Grove? asked Wendy.
Im afraid we may answered her father, hugging his daughter.
But Father, asked Bobby, What will happen to Betsy, Corwin, and Vivian? talking about Mungo, Rumple, and the tabby queen.
Im afraid, we may have to give them away son. Answered his mum.
No!! yelled the little girl and she ran away, scooping up and Rumple, Mungo and the queen, she hugged them tightly but not tight enough to hurt them. Im not gonna give me kitties to someone else!! The tabby queen seemed annoyed but tried to purr as best she could, Mungo and Rumple nuzzled Wendy.
Wendy darling, please, well talk about it in the morning said their mum, taking the cats away from her and picking her up, leading both children upstairs.  The father scratching his head, We just need more moneywe just needmore and he fell asleep

Present
We gots ter do sumfink abaht vis Mungo. Said Rumple, her eyes teary, I jus cunt beer levin hat famly.
Oi know Rumple answered Mungo, placing a paw on her shoulder, Oi know
Maybe we coul arsk Patches ifen she coul elp us. Said Rumple, wiping her teary eyes; talking about the tabby queen they lived with.
Ey, not a ba eydear Rumple, lets go! Answered Mungo and with that, they scurried towards Victoria Grove.

Oi, Patches, we gots ta speak with yer. Said Mungo, poking the slightly older queen in the ribs.  The queen woke with a start and swatted at him angrily, What do you think your doing you dunce? Waking me up and all! she spoke with a British accent, her hazel eyes looking angrily at them both.
Rumple spoke first, Oi Patches, we need yer elp.
You need my help, for what deary? she still sounded annoyed.
We wanna elp the famly so that they cun still stay ere
Yeah, chimed in Mungo, You know ow we cun elp them?
Patches eyes brightened and she smiled, Well didnt you hear The master say they needed more money?
Yeah, wot abaht money? said Rumple.
Well, it just so happens that the company he works for prolly still has his check, so if you go and steal the check
We cun, elp the famly til they get a new job! yelled Rumple, hugging Patches, Oi, Fank you Patches! Fank you!
Mungo kissed Patches cheek and hugged her Likewoise Patches, Fanks! the two of them ran off to start their plot as Patches sat, smiling.

The night was dark and cold as the two tortoiseshell cats scaled the tall building that the master had worked in.  Mungo carrying a small rope and Rumple carrying a brown bag, confident smiles on their faces.  They reached the top and Mungo helped Rumple to the top of the huge building.  Mungo grabbed Rumples shoulders and held her so he could see her Now, you know wot yer ta do roight Rumple?
Course Oi do Mungo, dun worry abaht a ting. She answered, though she was slightly scared.
Mungo smiled and hugged his baby sister, he gave her a reassuring smile and threw the rope down a air duct and smiled, holding tightly to the rope, the plan was simple enough: Rumple was to slide down the rope and find the masters check then put it in the mail and get out as fast a possible.
Rumple, Yer on! called Mungo, smiling.
Roight! said Rumple and tied the sack around her waist, full of things she could use.  She gave a reassuring smile to her brother and climb to the rope, sliding down.
Oi, it sure be dark down here said Rumple to the darkness, she jumped down from the rope and began walking towards an opening in the duct.  She looked down, Uh-Oh! she said quietly as she saw a security guard sitting right below.
She bit her lower lip but then smiled and reached for her bag, she pulled out a small rock and chucked it in the opposite direction of where she was heading.  The guard looked in that direction and stood up, walking off in that direction, Rumple rolled her eyes Humans. She smiled and hopped down elegantly into the guards seat, she saw a small paper, and every workers name was on it.  She looked through each name till she came to the one, President Aaron Burr: Room 201, she looked over and saw that room 201 was on the same floor.  She smiled and jumped off towards Burrs room.
She came to the room and found it locked, she smiled again and took out a hair pin and quickly picked the lock, it opened rather squeakily and she slid in looking around frantically for Masters check, she looked and saw a check it read:
George Riley
12,000 00/100~~~~~~~~

   Aaron Burr
She smiled and looked around, there had to be an envelope somewhere.  Suddenly she saw it, sticking out of the garbage was an envelope with Masters address on it! She quickly stuffed the check into the envelope and licked it shut; a stamp was already on it. Now to place you in a letter carrier thingy. She said, she looked around and found a mailbox type thing that would let the letter go into overnight mail.  She pulled as hard as she could and busted it open.
The alarm went off and panic struck her, she quickly jammed the letter in and slammed the door of the mailbox, she ran out of the room and ran right into the guard, he tried to grab her but she scratched him and ran off in the direction of the air duct.  She jumped on the chair and then on the desk and then jumped as high as she could.  She had just made it when the guard caught up, but he had no idea where she had gone, he went to search the building.
Rumple collapsed to the ground in exhaustion and tried to stop her shaking, she wiped sweat from her face and took a deep breath, the deed was done, she had completed the mission.
She walked towards the rope and tugged on it, she grabbed hold with one arm and both her legs and was immediately pulled up by her strong brother.
Oi, Rumple owd ya do? asked Mungo, still pulling her up.
Aye, Mission accompished! yelled up Rumple.
That a gurl Rumple! and Mungo gave her the thumbs-up.
Fank ya Mungo! answered Rumple as he help her up and hugged him, Mungo patted her head.
Oim proud of yer Rumple litl sis, Oim proud of yer and they began to climb down to building, going home.

It was early in the morning when Rumple and Mungo woke, Mungo yawned loudly and shoved his sister playfully.
Ey, watch it Mungo! laughed Rumple as she began batting at him, there quarrel woke up Patches and she glared at them.
You know, I happened to have been having a nice dream till you to woke me up.
Yeah well, said Mungo, laughing, Oiy dun you come over here an kiss me a
The excited scream came from the Kitchen and all three cats ran to find Mrs. Riley staring at the check Rumpleteazer had sent.
George! Oh, George Quick! cried Mrs. Riley.
What is it Elizabeth? called George Riley as he walked in, he looked to the check and gasped, tears came to his eyes.  Its-its my check.  We can pay for everything now; we can find new jobs before we finish spending this!
What is it father? asked Bobby, walking in holding Wendys hand.
Yeah Daddy, said Wendy, What happened?
A miracle answered Mr. Riley, picking up his children, A miracle on Victoria Grove
Mungojerrie, Rumpleteazer, and Patches all smiled and watch the happy family, enjoy their miracle
