Liz bridged over into opera in 2002, when she sang in the chorus for Hawaii Opera Theater's
Carmen.  In 2003, Liz sang the role of Zweiter Knabe in HOT's Die Zauberflote

In 2002 Liz was accepted into the Mae Z. The Magic Flute opera residency programs with elementary and middle schools across the state.

Liz is the two-time first place winner of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Hawaii auditions in 2002 and 2003 for the high school division.  She also placed first in the Musical Theatre division in 2003.  At the Great Lakes NATS auditions she placed third in 2003.
