Eye of the Storm
by Nancy O'Brien

Within hours of reaching out for help, I found myself on the other side of the rainbow looking back at the ferocious storm that had held me mercilessly in its grip.

It was a most incredible blessing, providing me a deeper awareness of the ravages of pride and the power of sharing one's deepest hurt.

I'd allowed myself to get perilously close to despair and was beginning to panic when I was unable to pull myself out.

The pain was made more acute because I could see clearly what was happening and felt powerless to stop the draining of my life force. I understood that powerlessness was indeed a reality in the lower levels of consciousness to which I'd plummeted.

Negative thought forms were barking loudly, drowning out what I knew to be true and I was suffocating in a sea of my own insanity.

My pride had me clinging to an unconscious belief that I had to get through it by myself, a rich irony for someone whose vocation is coaching. I'd somehow convinced myself that mastery meant being able to shift oneself to higher states of consciousness without involving anyone else.

What happened as soon as I asked human beings for help took my breath away and allowed me to gain even greater mastery over my state of being.

1. Within 24 hours energy transmission and healing from two of my teachers and a body worker shifted me immediately from despair to unconditional love.

2. I experienced deep levels of love and acceptance and states of unity consciousness.

3. I developed greater compassion for others experiencing powerlessness and despair in the lower frequencies of consciousness, something I know will enable me to be of greater service to others.

4. I fell more deeply in love with myself. I saw myself as a courageous being of Light whose mission is to expertly navigate all levels of consciousness, including the lowest frequencies, so I may be a guide to others who are ready to pull themselves out.

5. I surrendered to what was happening, asked for help and the effect was elevated consciousness.

Do you ask for help when you are in pain?
