I am so glad I met you too. And it is often so hard for others, who's lives seem
to have yet been untouched by any kind of adversity to understand those of us
who live here online. They just don't get it!
Can you spell RECLUSE? OK, all together now...R-E-C-L-U-S-E. Still, so many
online don't get that either. Some do though. And sadly enough, some now
understand since they too have joined the band wagon because of some unfortunate
situation taking place in their lives as well.
Do you know what I have found out? I have found out that those of us who have
had to take a second look at our lives and re-evaluate the direction it is going
in, are the ones who are the more compassionate folks, and the ones who are most
likely to share their lives and their time as well.
I have to admit, I do have a few folks on my list who seem to care less about
whatever is sent out, or whatever you tell them in a letter about your personal
life...and it is those people I actually feel the sorriest for. I am not sure
how they could ever deal with what many of us are
going through?
I use to be one of those lucky people...without a care in the world, and
everything was going just perfect for me. I just didn't know it at the time, or
that one day my whole world would be turned upside down in the time span it took
for a drunk teenager to hit me head on while I was
sitting at a stop light. Who is ever prepared in life for that?
And so life goes on. It doesn't stop and it doesn't give you a lot of to the
fullest...and for you, that means sharing the wonderful sites you share, and for
me, it means writing all my feelings and thoughts within the perimeters of a
poem, or a short story...and hopefully we reach a few out there who need to read
what we send.
Knowing someone whose life online is their extension to the outer world such our
as is, makes me feel as if we are kindred spirits, and I do believe that we are
here now to help those who just haven't gotten here yet!
