WISDOM by Donna Wallace

If we could only see the innate wisdom in a child
Or the seasoned, learned wisdom of our elderly
Then perhaps the rest of us could learn valuable lessons
as seen through a child's eyes both innocent and wise
Or the eyes of experience Who've already dared take the chance
We have so many lessons to learn
Why do we have to learn them all the hard way
We have so many lessons and so little time...
Listen to what elders say
The wisdom of an innocent child Who has already learned what the adult has forgotten
Why can't we learn some lessons easily - by simply listening
Respecting ...Hearing... Learning
We have two hidden treasures...The Children and the Elderly
Wouldn't we be wise to listen
And be aware that wisdom lives there
And encourage the child in us to come out and play
listen to her songs and what she continually says
Visit our elderly - Treasure their life story
See their failures and glory and learn the lessons they have to share
Learn to love them, respect them and care.....
Wisdom
Wouldn't we be wise to learn from someone whose already learned
or from the inborn wisdom of every child?
 Wisdom
