WHAT CAN I DO? by Donna Wallace

What can I do to stop the madness
Help a world so much in need
What can I do to ease the sadness
Rid the world of hate and greed?

Just one simple human being
What difference could I make
Could I improve the world I'm seeing
I wish I could for Heaven's sake.

Perhaps if I spread all my love
Instead of hate and fear
Then I could see what I dream of
And my purpose would be clear.

Perhaps if I did unto others
What I wish they'd do to me
Treat all human beings as brothers
Then world peace I'd finally see.

If I could choose my legacy
I'd choose to be named "Love"
Remembered as a gentle soul
Achieve all I'm worthy of.

Make friends of all my enemies
Teach all strangers my name
Bless the world with joy and peace
Then my life won't be in vain.

What can I do to one day see peace
A dream I've owned since birth
To one day witness all wars cease
And to help in some way save our Earth.....
