Raindrops - by Dee Ann E. L. Horvath
A
soft gentle rain is falling as I gaze out my window
The leaves respond to each raindrop that touches them
Drinking in the precious fluid that they need to thrive
The earth is replenishing and so am I
As the raindrops slowly slide down my window pane
It dawns on me that people are just like the rain
Like the droplets slide down the glass each one is different
Some do not last and diminish while others merge and flow
Traveling on a journey and reacting to others
The loners that never seem to move
They stay in one spot and dissipate
Leaving nothing behind to let you know they were there
Maybe next time they will take a different route
Raindrops are fortunate they get so many chances
I don't know if people are that lucky
All I know is we must get out and be part of life
We all need to be a little lonely raindrop at times
But by flowing in the mainstream and uniting with others
We forge great relationships, make friends and find true lovers
Bless you raindrops for reminding me
That everywhere I look there is something miraculous to see
Everything in this universe intertwines
We are all part of one sublime pilgrimage
Life…
