What am I doing to Nourish my Soul?

In my last newsletter to you, I asked you what you were doing to nourish your soul today.
Here is what I did that day 12-22-02. Marilyn

First I formed a plan of action. In order to nourish my soul, I wished to focus on:

1. developing loving and supportive relationships

2. healing myself and assisting others

3. having fun

4. being creative

I start out the day with excitement in my heart that this will be a glorious day. After eating a nourishing breakfast, I go to church and sing praises to God and meditate as I listen to what God wants me to do. Then I meet supportive friends for a light lunch at their home in a relaxed and comfortable surroundings. I give them gifts expressing my love for them. Then I call my grandchildren and bring them over to my house to bake cookies and play.  They help me finish decorating under the tree with toys they select. They both roll, cut, form and bake their own cookies and taste them before delivering some to their great grandfather. After a visit with him, we follow an exercise path behind his retirement apartment. After returning them home, I eat a light supper. Then I visit with online friends and scan a few inspirational sites. I then read a few chapters of Finding Your North Star. I wrap a couple presents for family. Then I relax in a hot tub of water with bath salts and essential oils by candlelight while I brainstorm ideas for creative expression in the coming days...making stepping stones, oil painting (after 5 years), choosing another book, working on my web site...At the end of the day, as I retire, I realize this has been a most successful day...I certainly did nourish my soul.

Peace and God Bless, Marilyn
